Crawford (triceps) will start at shortstop and bat leadoff in Monday's game versus the White Sox.

Crawford had to depart Sunday's game against the Padres after being struck in the right triceps by a pitch. However, he managed to escape with merely a contusion and will not have to miss a start.

The Rangers placed Seager on the 10-day injured list Monday with lower-back inflammation.

Seager had been unavailable the last few days, and after the shortstop was recently evaluated by a back specialist, the Rangers heeded the recommendation to put the shortstop on the IL. Per Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News, president of baseball operations Chris Young believes Seager can return from the IL for the start of the team's next homestand, which begins May 25. Ezequiel Duran will continue to fill in at shortstop for the Rangers until Seager is back in action.

Wilson (shoulder) remains in the strengthening and stabilization portion of his rehab, Jason Burke of SI.com reports.

Wilson suffered a left shoulder subluxation a little over a week ago and is still in the early stages of the rehab process. Once the Athletics are satisfied with the strengthening work Wilson has done on his shoulder, he will be cleared to resume baseball activities. There is no timetable for Wilson's return to the active roster. With Wilson sidelined, Darell Hernaiz has been filling in at shortstop.

Muncy (hand) has begun a swinging progression, Jason Burke of SI.com reports.

Muncy was placed on the 10-day injured list nearly three weeks ago with a fractured fifth metacarpal in his left hand, and he's finally ready to start ramping up his rehab. The young infielder will need to go out on a rehab assignment before rejoining the Athletics' active roster, and it's unclear how soon he might be ready for that. Zack Gelof has been filling in at third base in Muncy's stead.

The Astros reinstated Pena (hamstring/neck) from the 10-day injured list Monday, and he'll start at shortstop and bat leadoff in Houston's series opener in Minnesota.

Pena will be back in action for the Astros for the first time since April 11, after a Grade 1 right hamstring strain and more recently, a stiff neck, had kept him on the shelf for just over five weeks. Prior to hitting the shelf, Pena hit .256 with four extra-base hits (all doubles), one stolen base, five runs and no RBI through his first 10 games with Houston to begin the season.

Holliday (hand) is with the Orioles in Tampa Bay on Monday but has not yet been activated from the 10-day injured list, Brian Murphy of MLB.com reports.

Holliday looks to be done with his rehab assignment after multiple starts and stops, but the Orioles will wait until at least Tuesday to activate him for his season debut. The 22-year-old is coming back from right hamate surgery, which he had in mid-February. Holliday went 4-for-17 with one home run and a 3:7 BB:K in his last five rehab games at Triple-A Norfolk.

Bogaerts went 0-for-3 with a walk, a run and two stolen bases in an 8-3 win against the Mariners on Sunday.

Bogaerts made the most of his lone time reaching base, swiping second and third base before coming around to score following a fifth-inning walk. He has two multi-steal games this season to account for more than half his seven total swipes. While he isn't the most thrilling fantasy shortstop, Bogaerts has been moderately productive, slashing .258/.331/.405 with seven home runs, 23 RBI and 22 runs to go along with the seven thefts.

The Nationals promoted King from Double-A Harrisburg to Triple-A Rochester on Monday, Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic reports.

King struggled after being promoted to Harrisburg last season, but he's broken out in 2026, slashing .336/.427/.562 with five home runs, five stolen bases and a 22:31 BB:K in 35 games to earn a promotion to the Nationals' top affiliate. The 23-year-old has played shortstop almost exclusively in pro ball, but King has seen a bit of action at second base in 2026, and if he makes it to the majors this season, it could be as a second baseman.

The Mets "have hope" that Lindor (calf) will return to the active roster in about a month, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports.

An MRI last week showed that Lindor's left calf strain is healing, but not yet to the point that he has been cleared for baseball activities. The star shortstop has already been sidelined for nearly one month of action, and he still has approximately one more month to go. New York has been utilizing Bo Bichette at shortstop and Brett Baty at third base of late while Lindor remains shelved.

Emerson went 0-for-2 with a walk and a run scored in Sunday's 8-3 loss to the Padres.

While Emerson was held hitless in his major-league debut, he did score Seattle's first run of the game after drawing a lead-off walk in the sixth inning. The 20-year-old Emerson was recalled from Triple-A to serve as the Mariners' primary third baseman in the absence of Brendan Donovan (groin), though he could also now see time at shortstop after J.P. Crawford (triceps) left Sunday's contest after he was hit by a pitch. Emerson appeared in 38 games at Triple-A Tacoma this season, where he slashed .255/.347/.469 with seven homers and 10 stolen bases.
