Betts went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer and an additional RBI in Sunday's win against the Nationals.

The eight-time All-Star powered the Dodgers' offense despite collecting just one hit, as he started the scoring in the third inning with an RBI groundout before giving Los Angeles a 7-5 lead with a three-run blast in the eighth. It's already Betts' second four-RBI performance of September, as he's batting .360 (9-for-25) with three doubles, two homers, 11 RBI and six runs through the first six games of the month.

De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, two walks and four RBI in Sunday's 12-8 win over the Brewers.

De La Cruz launched a two-run blast in the fourth inning before driving in two more on a double in the fifth. The superstar has now hit safely in five straight games to open September, going 10-for-20 with two homers, six RBI and five runs scored over that span. For the year, he's slashing .280/.360/.492 with 23 home runs, 66 RBI, 86 runs scored and 24 steals across 556 plate appearances.

Manager Torey Lovullo said after Sunday's game against the Astros that Perdomo (head) is not in the concussion protocol, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.

A scary incident unfolded in the third inning Sunday, when a ball off the bat of teammate Ketel Marte struck Perdomo in the helmet as Perdomo was running the bases. It seems he avoided a concussion, and further, Lovullo indicated the shortstop will be in the lineup Monday in Kansas City without missing a start.

Perdomo was removed from Sunday's game against the Astros after being struck in the head by a line drive, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

After Perdomo started the top of the third inning with a single, teammate Ketel Marte hit a 93-mph liner that Perdomo was unable to avoid. The 26-year-old shortstop was called out for runner's interference and was able to leave the field under his own power, but he was replaced defensively for the bottom half of the frame. Perdomo was diagnosed with a head contusion and will continue to be evaluated.

Triolo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Since the start of August, Triolo has been seeing fairly steady playing time between shortstop and third base, but his opportunities have taken a hit since Konnor Griffin was reinstated from the injured list Friday. Triolo will head to the bench for the second time in three games while the Pirates go with Griffin and Jacob Gonzalez as their starters on the left side of the infield.

Winn's (thumb) activation from the 10-day injured list has been delayed due to discomfort he felt during pregame batting practice Friday, Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Winn had targeted a return Saturday, but certain kinds of swings still give him trouble and the Cardinals "need to get on the other side of it completely" before the shortstop is reinstated, per manager Oliver Marmol. The 24-year-old has missed the last two-plus weeks with a small fracture in his left thumb. Thomas Saggese has drawn the last six starts at shortstop for St. Louis in Winn's stead.

Kim is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies.

Kim had started in each of the last four games and seven of the previous nine, going 6-for-21 (.286 average) with one walk, two RBI, one run and one stolen base during that span. The 30-year-old is still slashing an abysmal .113/.204/.124 on the season and may have more work to do before settling back into an everyday role at shortstop on a longer-term basis.

Pena sustained a fracture in his left fibula during Double-A Biloxi's game against Birmingham on Saturday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Pena suffered the injury on a slide into third base and was carted off the field. The 19-year-old required a splint and the use of crutches to get around, but he's expected to begin his rehab program next week. The fracture continues a tough run of injury luck for Pena, who missed a month earlier this season after collapsing in the dugout due to overheating. He was promoted to Biloxi in mid-August and has a .268/.328/.339 slash line in his first 16 contests at Double-A.

De La Cruz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Brewers.

De La Cruz got the Reds on the board with a 438-foot blast off Dustin May in the first inning, and he's now matched his home run total (22) from 2025. The 24-year-old shortstop has hit safely in 12 of his past 13 contests, tallying seven multi-hit efforts, seven extra-base hits, five RBI, 14 runs scored and two stolen bases in that span. On the season, Elly's slashing .278/.356/.484 with 22 homers, 62 RBI, 85 runs scored and 24 steals across 550 plate appearances.

Abrams went 1-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Dodgers.

Abrams is still scuffling at the plate, having gone just 4-for-40 (.100) over his last 10 games, though he has two steals and two RBI in that span. The infielder is hitting .265 with an .837 OPS, 28 steals, 29 home runs, 94 RBI, 83 runs scored, 26 doubles and three triples over 135 contests. If he can find his swing again soon, he has plenty of time to secure the first 30-30 season of his career.
