Brewers' Trevor Megill: Locks down save No. 8
Megill secured the save Sunday against the Astros, striking out two in a clean ninth inning.
It's worth noting Abner Uribe picked up a hold in a spotless eighth inning, as the pendulum in Milwaukee's closer committee could be swinging back in Megill's favor. Both hard-throwing right-handers figure to continue splitting ninth-inning work in some capacity, but Megill has nailed down each of the club's past three save opportunities. Through 21 innings, Megill has a 4.29 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 27:6 K:BB while converting eight of his nine save chances.

Brewers' Jacob Misiorowski: Caps off dominant month of May
Misiorowski (6-2) earned the win Sunday against the Astros, allowing no runs on three hits and no walks in seven innings. He struck out eight.
The Astros had no answers for the hard-throwing right-hander Sunday, mustering just three knocks (one double). Misiorowski put a bow on an incredible month of May in the process, during which he registered five scoreless starts in six outings en route to producing a microscopic 0.23 ERA, 0.52 WHIP and 57:6 K:BB covering 38.1 innings. He boasts a 1.65 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 108:19 K:BB over 71 frames overall, but Misiorowski's dominance is set to be tested next weekend in Colorado against the Rockies.

Brewers' Shane Drohan: Set to start Monday
Drohan will start Monday's game against the Giants, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
It will be the second start of the season for Drohan, who has excelled as a reliever so far in 2026 with a 2.63 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 28:8 K:BB across 27.1 innings. The left-hander has regularly covered multiple frames out of the bullpen and has thrown 39-plus pitches in seven of his 11 outings this year, so he should be able to provide some quality length Monday even if he isn't built up to a full starter's workload.

Brewers' Angel Zerpa: Shifts to 60-day IL
The Brewers transferred Zerpa (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Sunday.
This transaction has been inevitable since it was announced in early May that Zerpa required UCL reconstruction on his left elbow. The 26-year-old is expected to be sidelined until around the All-Star break in 2027.

Brewers' Luis Rengifo: On bench again Sunday
Rengifo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
It's the second straight game on the bench for Rengifo, who has gone 5-for-36 (.139) with no extra-base hits while committing four errors over his past 11 contests. Joey Ortiz is manning shortstop Sunday while David Hamilton shifts to third base in Rengifo's place.

Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Receiving Sunday off
Chourio is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Astros.
Chourio has started all 22 games since coming off the injured list to make his season debut May 4, so he gets a well-deserved breather after posting a .266/.317/.404 slash line with two homers and five steals in his first 101 plate appearances. Jake Bauers will shift to left field while Andrew Vaughn starts at first base.

Brewers' Carlos Rodriguez: Returns to Triple-A
The Brewers optioned Rodriguez to Triple-A Nashville on Sunday.
The 24-year-old spent the past week in the majors but will return to Triple-A after making two appearances and giving up three runs on five hits and a 3:4 K:BB over 5.1 innings. Brewers' Rob Zastryzny: Comes off IL
The Brewers reinstated Zastrzyny (shoulder/ribs) from the 60-day injured list Sunday.
After spending the first couple months of the season on the shelf due to shoulder and intercostal strains, Zastryzny is ready to join the Brewers after six scoreless rehab appearances. The left-hander covered a career-high 22 frames in the majors last year and had a 2.45 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 20:10 K:BB.

Brewers' Brandon Sproat: Coughs up five runs in short start
Sproat (1-4) took the loss Saturday against the Astros, allowing five runs on six hits and no walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out four.
Fresh off fanning a career-high seven in his last start, Sproat struggled with run prevention again Saturday. The 25-year-old right-hander has now given up at least three runs in eight of his 11 outings this year, having lasted at least five innings just three times. Sproat has a poor 6.24 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and 52:27 K:BB across 49 innings, leaving him in jeopardy of losing his rotation spot once the Brewers eventually get back Brandon Woodruff (shoulder), Logan Henderson (back) or Quinn Priester (shoulder).

Megill picked up the save in Friday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Astros, recording two strikeouts in a hitless and scoreless 10th inning.
