Yankees' Dax Kilby: Back in action
Kilby (hamstring) began a rehab assignment with the Florida Complex League on Friday and went 0-for-1 with a walk and one run scored, Conor Foley of YES Network reports.
It was Kilby's first game action since May 28. The 19-year-old shortstop has been limited to just two contests this season and has yet to see any action with Single-A Tampa. Kilby slashed .353/.457/.441 with two doubles, two triples, nine RBI, 19 runs scored, 16 stolen bases and a 13:11 BB:K across 81 plate appearances in his first season of professional ball last year.

Gavin Lux SS | TB
Rays' Gavin Lux: Pulled off rehab assignment
Lux (shoulder) was pulled off his rehab assignment earlier this week, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Lux appeared in seven games with Triple-A Durham and went 7-for-24 with zero extra-base hits, two RBI and three runs scored, but he last played Sunday, July 12. The 28-year-old has yet to play in a big-league game this season due to recurring shoulder issues.

Sebastian Walcott SS | TEX
Rangers' Sebastian Walcott: On rehab assignment
Walcott (elbow) began a rehab assignment at the rookie-level Arizona Complex League on Tuesday and has gone 3-for-6 with one home run and one stolen base.
Working his way back from internal brace surgery on his right elbow, Walcott has been used in the designated-hitter spot in his first two rehab games. He's been playing catch, but it's not clear when he will be ready to play the field in games. Walcott finished the 2025 season at Double-A Frisco and will either return to that level or move up to Triple-A Round Rock as his rehab advances.

Arjun Nimmala SS | TOR
Blue Jays' Arjun Nimmala: Returns from 7-day IL
Nimmala (hamstring) went 3-for-11 with two home runs, three walks, five runs and four RBI in four games for Double-A New Hampshire after being activated from the 7-day injured list July 7.
Nimmala spent five weeks on the shelf while recovering from a hamstring strain before getting the green light to rejoin New Hampshire following a six-game rehab stint between the rookie-level Florida Complex League and Single-A Dunedin. The shortstop prospect has maintained a .303/.398/.434 slash line to go with two home runs and three steals in 22 games for New Hampshire since being promoted from High-A Vancouver on May 3.

Gavin Lux SS | TB
Rays' Gavin Lux: Finding rhythm in rehab assignment
Lux (shoulder) went 1-for-4 with two RBI, a walk and a stolen base in a rehab game for Triple-A Durham on Sunday.
Since resuming his rehab assignment June 30, Lux has gone 7-for-24 with five walks, two steals and three runs scored over seven outings. The 28-year-old has been bitten by the injury bug on several occasions this year, first dealing with a right shoulder injury in the spring, next spraining his ankle during an April 11 rehab contest and then getting shut down May 12 due to left shoulder inflammation. Once Lux is finally ready to make his Rays debut, he'll likely be competing with Richie Palacios for reps at second base and Taylor Walls at shortstop.

J.P. Crawford SS | SEA
Mariners' J.P. Crawford: Three hits Sunday
Crawford went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 8-2 win over Tampa Bay.
Crawford extended Seattle's lead to 3-0 in the second inning with his two-out, two-run double off Ian Seymour before adding a third RBI with his second double in the ninth. It's a nice way to head into the All-Star break for Crawford, who'd gone 13 games without an RBI prior to Sunday -- he went 8-for-52 (.154) with a .453 OPS over that span. Overall, Crawford is slashing .218/.334/.359 with 10 homers, 38 runs scored, 28 RBI and one steal through 335 plate appearances this season.

Brayan Rocchio SS | CLE
Guardians' Brayan Rocchio: Launches eighth home run
Rocchio went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Marlins.
After collecting an RBI single to open the scoring in his first plate appearance, Rocchio extended Cleveland's lead in the fifth inning by taking Michael Petersen deep for his eighth home run of the season. The long ball matched his career high from 2024, but he has reached the mark in 50 fewer games this time around. The shortstop has been hot lately, batting .317 with three home runs and 10 RBI over his last 11 games.

Tristan Gray SS | MIN
Twins' Tristan Gray: Cedes shortstop to Kreidler on Sunday
Gray is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.
Though he had started against three straight right-handed pitchers, Gray will give way to Ryan Kreidler on Sunday against Angels righty Jose Soriano. Gray could still rank as the Twins' preferred option at shortstop coming out of the All-Star break, as Kreidler has fizzled at the plate of late. Since churning out back-to-back three-hit performances June 20 and 21, Kreidler has slashed .167/.200/.250 over his subsequent 15 games.

Jacob Wilson SS | ATH
Athletics' Jacob Wilson: Logs two hits in loss
Wilson went 2-for-4 with a triple in Saturday's loss to the White Sox.

After going hitless in his first two games back from the injured list, the shortstop has recorded two hits in each of the past three contests. Overall, the 24-year-old is slashing .282/.315/.391 with four homers, 26 RBI, 24 runs and two stolen bases across 55 games in 2026.
