Williams missed time down the stretch of the regular season at Triple-A due to a wrist issue, but he's managed to make a full recovery. He's expected to see action playing in the Arizona Fall League, per Jack Vita of the Los Angeles Times.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Sunday that Williams, who was activated from Triple-A Nashville's 7-day injured list Saturday, is headed to Arizona to visit a specialist after aggravating his wrist injury, Hunter Baumgardt of Fox Sports 920 Milwaukee reports.
The young infielder struck out in his lone plate appearance Saturday before departing the contest due to continued wrist soreness. Williams spent a month on the shelf due to injury, which was originally considered a minor issue. Since he's already stepping away from the club to be evaluated, a return trip to the IL wouldn't be surprising.

Williams hadn't played since July 7 due to the wrist injury before Nashville decided to deactivate him. The 22-year-old shortstop has produced a .234/.341/.385 slash line with nine home runs and 21 stolen bases across 358 plate appearances at Nashville this season, his first in the Brewers organization after he was acquired in January as part of the deal that sent Freddy Peralta and Tobias Myers to the Mets.

The Brewers bolstered their infield depth by acquiring Braden Shewmake from the Astros on Sunday, but that trade may not have been necessary if Williams wasn't banged up. The 23-year-old hasn't seen the field for Triple-A Nashville since Tuesday but currently remains on the active roster, which supports the notion that the injury isn't viewed as a serious concern.
Williams went 27-for-83 (.325) with four home runs, 17 RBI, six steals and a 15:19 BB:K over his last 23 games with Triple-A Nashville.
Williams hit just .186 over his first 22 games with Nashville, but he has gotten going in a big way since. Williams is solidifying his status as one of the top prospects in a loaded Milwaukee system, and he may not have much left to prove at the Triple-A level.

Brewers president of baseball operations Matt Arnold said Monday that Williams will be given some third-base reps during spring training, Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com reports.
Williams has yet to play third base at the professional level, but he's very familiar with the left side of the infield and has a plus arm, so it could be a smooth transition. The hot corner is now wide open for the Brewers after they traded Caleb Durbin and Andruw Monasterio to the Red Sox on Monday. While it's probably a long shot that Williams breaks camp as the starter at third base, showing he can handle the position would give him another path to playing time.
