Lopez (finger) is out of the lineup for Sunday's matchup against Milwaukee.
After taking a groundball off his right ring finger in the second inning of Saturday's game, Lopez will be on the bench for the series finale against Milwaukee. Javier Sanoja will play shortstop and bat cleanup in Lopez's absence Sunday.

Marlins' Otto Lopez: Getting right finger tested
Marlins manager Clayton McCullough said after Saturday's 8-6 loss to the Brewers that Lopez will get his right ring finger tested after a ground ball "got the nail pretty good," Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Lopez took a ground ball to his right ring finger in the second inning of Saturday's game. He was able to stay in the contest, but he'll undergo more tests to determine the severity of the injury. Leo Jimenez and Javier Sanoja could see some reps at shortstop if Lopez were to miss time.

Marlins' Otto Lopez: Stays hot Sunday
Lopez went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double, a walk, three total RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-8 win over the Athletics.
Lopez is sizzling with a trio of three-hit games over his last four contests. He's also homered in consecutive games and has at least one extra-base hit in five of his last eight games. For the season, the shortstop is batting .346 with an .896 OPS, nine homers, 43 RBI, 59 runs scored, 25 doubles, five triples and 17 stolen bases through 89 contests.

Marlins' Otto Lopez: Homer, double in win
Lopez went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, a double and a third RBI in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Athletics.
This was Lopez's eighth multi-hit effort in his last 11 games. In that span, he has gone 19-for-48 (.396) with three homers, four doubles, two triples and seven RBI. The shortstop's recent consistency at the plate has him up to a .341 average and .877 OPS on the year, and he's added eight homers, 40 RBI, 57 runs scored, 24 doubles and five triples through 88 contests. Lopez's strong performance resulted in him being named to the National League All-Star team.

The breakout shortstop wraps up an impressive trip to Coors Field having gone 6-for-14 over three games at altitude with four extra-base hits (two double, a triple and a homer). Lopez went 1-for-5 with two runs scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Giants.
Lopez got things going early, stealing second base after reaching on an error in the first inning and scoring the game's first run. According to Christina De Nicola of MLB.com, he then became the first player this season to reach 100 hits with a single in the fourth. The 27-year-old has hit safely in 14 of 17 June contests, batting .338 with seven extra-base hits, seven RBI, 15 runs scored and five stolen bases during that stretch. On the year, he leads the majors with a .332 average to go along with five homers, 32 RBI, 47 runs scored and 15 steals across 324 plate appearances.

Marlins' Otto Lopez: Swipes two bags Thursday
Lopez went 2-for-4 with a run and two stolen bases against Arizona in a 2-0 win Thursday.
Lopez was the only batter on either team to record multiple hits in the low-scoring affair. He manufactured a run in the first inning by knocking a single, reaching second base on a disengagement violation, stealing third and then coming home on a sacrifice fly. The speedy infielder added another theft later in the game for his third multi-steal performance of the campaign. Lopez is in the midst of the best season of his career, as he leads qualified MLB hitters with a .344 batting average while adding five homers, 18 doubles (tied for fifth most), three triples, 30 RBI, 42 runs and 13 steals through 68 games.

Lopez is having a terrific season at the plate, leading the National League in both batting average (.341) and hits (89) while ranking fourth in both triples (three) and doubles (11).

Lopez got the Marlins on the board with an RBI triple in the sixth inning before being brought home one batter later on a sacrifice fly from Kyle Stowers. It was the fourth time this season that Lopez recorded multiple extra-base hits in a game, and he has logged at least two hits in four of his last six outings.
