Bubba Chandler SP | PIT
Pirates' Bubba Chandler: Earns second win Tuesday
Chandler (2-6) earned the win Tuesday against the Astros, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings.
After allowing a leadoff single in the first inning, Chandler quickly fell behind when Yordan Alvarez launched a two-run homer to give Houston an early advantage. The right-hander continued to work through traffic throughout the outing but managed to avoid any additional crooked numbers. Since the start of May, he has allowed 15 earned runs across 28 innings while posting a 25:16 K:BB. Chandler is currently tied for the MLB lead in walks with 38 and owns an alarming 15.3 percent walk rate this season. Overall, he carries a 4.89 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 55:38 K:BB across 57 innings and is slated to face Atlanta in his next start.

Corbin Carroll RF | ARI
Diamondbacks' Corbin Carroll: Homers in loss
Carroll went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Dodgers.
Carroll got Arizona on the board with his third-inning blast. The outfielder has an extra-base hit in each of the last three games, going 4-for-13 in that span. For the season, he's hitting .289 with a .925 OPS, eight homers, 29 RBI, 38 runs scored, 14 doubles, eight triples and seven stolen bases over 57 contests.

Mike Soroka SP | ARI
Diamondbacks' Michael Soroka: Settles in after early struggles
Soroka (7-3) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out six over six innings to take the loss against the Dodgers on Tuesday.
Soroka gave up all four runs and six of the seven baserunners he allowed over the first two innings. He was able to settle in after that, but the Diamondbacks' comeback effort came up short. Considering the tough matchup, this was decent work for Soroka. He's at a 3.49 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 66:15 K:BB through 67 innings over 12 starts this season. Soroka is projected to make his next start over the weekend at home versus the Nationals.

Freddie Freeman 1B | LAD
Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Early impact in win
Freeman went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Diamondbacks.
The Dodgers never trailed in this contest, in part thanks to Freeman's first-inning blast. The first baseman has hit safely in eight of his last 10 games, going 12-for-35 (.343) with three homers and nine RBI in that span. He's now hitting .274 with an .835 OPS, nine homers, 32 RBI, 30 runs scored, two stolen bases, 15 doubles and a triple over 58 contests. Freeman's not quite at the level he's displayed over the last two years, but he is trending up in recent weeks.

Tanner Scott RP | LAD
Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Locks down sixth save
Scott gave up a hit and struck out one without walking a batter in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Diamondbacks.
This was Scott's first outing since his blown save Saturday versus the Phillies. He bounced back well, though he needed 20 pitches (12 strikes) to get the job done. Scott is up to six saves this season while earning a 2.10 ERA, 0.70 WHIP and 29:3 K:BB across 25.2 innings. The southpaw continues to work as the Dodgers' top high-leverage arm, though that will occasionally get in the way of him picking up saves when he's brought into games before the ninth inning.

Eric Lauer SP | LAD
Dodgers' Eric Lauer: Does fine in Arizona
Lauer allowed two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out one over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
Lauer did fine, but he came up one out short of qualifying for the win. He threw 45 of 70 pitches for strikes in this outing. The southpaw has given up three runs over 10.2 innings in his two starts with the Dodgers so far, which is a positive sign that he can hold onto a rotation spot in the short term. He's at a 5.74 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 31:18 K:BB through 47 innings over 10 appearances (eight starts) between the Dodgers and the Blue Jays this season. Lauer is tentatively projected to make his next start on the road in Pittsburgh.

Michael Burrows SP | HOU
Astros' Mike Burrows: Punished by long ball again Tuesday
Burrows (3-7) took the loss Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing six runs (five earned) on eight hits and five walks while striking out three over five innings.
Burrows' biggest issue once again was the home run ball, as all five of his earned runs came via two long balls. Endy Rodriguez tagged him for a two-run shot in the second inning before Oneil Cruz launched a three-run homer in the sixth. The right-hander has now surrendered 15 homers across 12 starts this season and continues to struggle to limit damage. Burrows currently owns the highest qualified ERA in MLB at 5.66 to go along with a 1.54 WHIP and 57:26 K:BB across 68.1 innings. He's scheduled to face the Athletics in his next start.

Willi Castro 2B | COL
Rockies' Willi Castro: Clubs homer in win
Castro went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Angels.
Castro has gone 10-for-32 (.313) over his last eight games after a short absence due to lower-back tightness. The utility man has just two extra-base hits in that span, but his fourth-inning homer Tuesday blew the game wide open as the Rockies marched to the win. Castro is batting a decent .260 this season, adding a .692 OPS, three homers, 22 RBI, 25 runs scored, nine doubles and four stolen bases over 51 contests.

TJ Rumfield 1B | COL
Rockies' TJ Rumfield: Homers in return to lineup
Rumfield went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Angels.
Rumfield was held out of the lineup Monday due to shoulder inflammation after leaving Sunday's contest early. He worked as the designated hitter Tuesday and delivered a long ball in the fourth inning, going back-to-back with Willi Castro. Rumfield is batting .286 with an .817 OPS, eight homers, 30 RBI, 24 runs scored, nine doubles, one triple and no stolen bases through 59 games this season. It's not clear when he'll return to playing first base, but his fantasy managers will be fine as long as he can continue to at least serve as DH.

Hunter Goodman C | COL
Rockies' Hunter Goodman: Stays hot with homer
Goodman went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and a walk in Tuesday's 8-2 win over the Angels.
Goodman has turned the power up with four homers and eight RBI over his last seven games. He got the scoring started when he took Grayson Rodriguez deep in the second inning Tuesday. Goodman is hitting .275 over his last 10 contests and is up to .243 on the year with an .811 OPS, 15 homers, 27 RBI, 36 runs scored, 10 doubles and three stolen bases over 56 contests.
