Andujar (wrist) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday, going 1-for-4 with an RBI double.

Andujar has been sidelined since just after the All-Star break with a fractured right wrist, but he's finally advanced to playing in games. The 31-year-old should rejoin the active roster soon as the Padres fight for a playoff spot. Once he does return, Andujar could see regular reps at designated hitter.

Eldridge went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Cardinals.

Eldridge went deep in the first inning to give the Giants an early lead. He's hit safely in nine of last 10 games, going 14-for-37 (.378) with 11 RBI in that span. The 21-year-old is batting .265 with an .819 OPS, 16 homers, 49 RBI, 47 runs scored, 21 doubles and one stolen base over 100 contests this season as he continues to see regular time between first base and designated hitter.

Springer is not in Toronto's lineup for Tuesday's matchup with the A's.

Springer has now been absent from the starting nine for two of the Blue Jays' last three games. The 36-year-old went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts during Monday's series opener against the Athletics. Jesus Sanchez will slot in as the designated hitter and bat eighth for Toronto.

Ohtani is not in the lineup for Tuesday's matchup against the Reds, per David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports.

Ohtani will miss the second game of a three-game set against Cincinnati after going 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts in his return to the lineup Monday. Over his last 15 games, the four-time MVP has slashed just .186/.324/.390 with three homers and five RBI in 69 plate appearances. Freddie Freeman will slot in as the Dodgers' designated hitter Tuesday.

Conforto is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest in Milwaukee.

Conforto occupied the designated hitter slot each of the last four times the Cubs faced a righty, but he's not starting Tuesday against Cy Young favorite Jacob Misiorowski. Tyrone Taylor will hold down the DH spot for Chicago.

Gasper is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Angels, Ari Alexander of 7 News Boston reports.

Gasper started the previous eight contests and will receive a day off after batting .231 (6-for-26) with a double, three homers and a 7:6 BB:K during that span. Willson Contreras (hamstring) could be back from the injured list as soon as Friday, but the Red Sox may try to keep Gasper in the lineup however they can given his recent offensive production. Nick Sogard will pick up a start at first base Tuesday while Andruw Monasterio handles the keystone.

After going 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in his return to the lineup Monday against the Reds, Ohtani said he's "most likely" not going to be pitching again this season and will be "focusing on hitting moving forward," SportsNet LA reports.

The two-way superstar's return to the lineup Monday was a welcome sight after he sat out four contests due to lingering right biceps soreness and left knee inflammation, but it appears his return to the mound will be put on hold for now. Ohtani hasn't pitched for the Dodgers since July 3 versus San Diego due to the injuries, which also appear to have affected his bat given that he has a .122/.295/.184 slash line and 34.4 percent strikeout rate in his past 13 contests. The Dodgers haven't officially ruled out a return to pitching for Ohtani this season, and the club may hold out hope for his availability off the mound in the playoffs, even in a limited capacity.

Eldridge went 2-for-4 with a double and three RBI in Monday's 5-4 extra-innings win over the Cardinals.

Eldridge drove in a run on a sacrifice fly in the third inning, hit an RBI double in the fifth and added a game-tying RBI single in the 10th. The 21-year-old has reached base safely in each of his last 16 appearances, slashing .356/.452/.508 with 15 RBI, six doubles, five runs scored and a home run in 73 plate appearances during that time. On the year, he's slashing .265/.359/.451 with 48 RBI, 46 runs scored, 15 long balls and a stolen base across 412 plate appearances.

Perez went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBI in Monday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Diamondbacks.

Perez picked up a trio of hits, most notably a bases-clearing double in the 10th inning. The veteran slugger has been much better in the second half, slashing .272/.323/.474 with eight homers, 34 RBI and 17 runs in 46 games since the All-Star break. Overall, he's hitting .230/.274/.387 with 19 homers, 71 RBI and 48 runs across 135 contests.

Ballesteros went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a double in Monday's 5-2 loss to the Red Sox.

Ballesteros accounted for three of the Angels' six hits in this game while recording the first three-hit performance of his major-league career. He broke up Boston's shutout with his eighth homer of the season off Wyatt Olds in the sixth and finished just a triple shy of the cycle. The rookie slugger, a deadline addition via trade with the Cubs, is hitting .246 with a .675 OPS in his last 15 games.
