Higashioka delivered a two-run single during Texas' big seventh inning before adding a solo homer off Cody Bolton in the ninth to pad the lead. The long ball was just his second of the season as the veteran catcher continues to search for consistency at the plate. Overall, he's hitting .294 with a .948 OPS, seven homers, 26 RBI, 25 runs scored, one stolen base, six doubles and a triple through 36 games.

  • Red Sox's Carlos Narvaez: X-rays negative on finger

Narvaez underwent X-rays on his finger, which came back negative, after Sunday's 8-1 loss to Atlanta, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Narvaez exited the game in the third inning after dealing with finger pain on his right hand, and he is now considered day-to-day. The 27-year-old was replaced in the contest by Connor Wong, who is likely the next man up behind the plate if Narvaez is forced to miss any action moving forward.

  • Red Sox's Carlos Narvaez: Managing finger issue

Narvaez was removed from Sunday's game against Atlanta due to pain in the third finger on his right hand, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.

It's unclear exactly how he sustained the injury, but Narvaez was replaced defensively for the bottom of the sixth inning after going 1-for-2 at the plate. Connor Wong (ankle), who has been dealing with his own injury, replaced Narvaez at catcher.

Teel (hamstring) tweaked his right knee while taking a swing in a minor-league rehab game Saturday night, and he's set to be re-evaluated Tuesday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Teel was playing in his fourth rehab game with Triple-A Charlotte and appeared to be nearing his season debut for the White Sox. The catcher isn't in Charlotte's lineup Sunday, and it probably won't be clear when he'll be able to play again until after he's re-evaluated Tuesday. Teel had gone 4-for-15 with a home run and two RBI during his rehab stint at Triple-A.

  • Orioles' Adley Rutschman: Resting Sunday

  • Angels' Travis d'Arnaud: No timetable for return

D'Arnaud (foot) told reporters Saturday that he does not have a timetable for his return from the 10-day injured list, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

D'Arnaud landed on the 10-day injured list May 8 due to right foot plantar fasciitis. He's kept the weight off his foot by using a scooter and relayed that he'll have a better sense of his rehab timeline once he's able to put weight on his foot. Sebastian Rivero will continue to operate as the Angels' backup catcher behind Logan O'Hoppe for as long as d'Arnaud is sidelined.
