Ortiz (back) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against San Diego.

Ortiz will miss his third consecutive start as he continues to battle an upper-back injury. Brice Turang will slide over to shortstop and lead off, while David Hamilton mans third base and bats eighth for Milwaukee.

The Pirates placed Johnson on the minor-league 7-day injured list Tuesday due to a left knee injury, Danny Demilio of PittsburghBaseballNow.com reports.

Johnson left Saturday's game for Triple-A Indianapolis after four innings due to the knee issue. He appeared to have suffered the injury while he stumbled over the first-base bag while trying to leg out an infield single. The 22-year-old had to be carted off the field with an air cast, but exact details of the injury have not been revealed.

Perdomo (knee) is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockies.

Perdomo was removed from Monday's game against Colorado with left knee soreness and needs another day to recover. With Perdomo on the bench, Ildemaro Vargas is starting at shortstop and batting eighth Tuesday.

Lux (shoulder) is unlikely to return this season, per MLB.com.

Lux's most recent setback saw him get shut down in mid-July after receiving an injection in his right shoulder. His initial rehab assignment in April was halted by a sprained left ankle, and the infielder was later pulled off another minor-league stint with left shoulder inflammation. The Rays haven't officially ruled out Lux for the remainder of the year, but his status for the rest of 2026 is in major doubt.

Perdomo left Monday's game against Colorado due to left knee soreness.

This appears to be a minor issue for Perdomo, who went 0-for-2 with a walk and a run before exiting. He'll presumably be re-evaluated Tuesday morning and can be considered day-to-day. Manager Torey Lovullo stated after the game that Perdomo is fine, but he could get the next day or two off as a precaution, per Jose M. Romero of The Arizona Republic. Ildemaro Vargas would be in line for more looks at shortstop if Perdomo misses additional time.

Perdomo was removed during the fifth inning of Monday's game against the Rockies for an undisclosed reason, Jack Sommers of SI.com reports.

It's not yet clear if Perdomo left with an injury, though it would be a bit odd to pull him at this stage in the game to get him off his feet, even with a 7-0 lead. The team could provide more information about the shortstop's removal after the game.

Lindor went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and two additional runs scored in Monday's 8-5 win over Atlanta.

Lindor set the tone from the top of the order, highlighted by a 420-foot blast off Bryce Elder in the third inning. The shortstop finally appears to be heating up, hitting safely in nine of his past 11 contests with four multi-hit efforts, five extra-base hits, seven RBI and 10 runs scored during that stretch. On the year, he's slashing .242/.327/.439 with 11 homers, 30 RBI, 36 runs scored and three steals across 275 plate appearances.

DeMartini (wrist) has gone 3-for-13 with a solo home run, three walks, four stolen bases and three runs in four games for Double-A Reading since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list Aug. 4.

Before returning to action for Reading last week, DeMartini had been out of commission for nearly three months due to a left wrist sprain. The 23-year-old infielder has posted a .798 OPS with five home runs and 10 steals over 28 games at the Double-A level in 2026.

Correa (ankle) has been cleared to hit off a tee, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Correa was given the green light to swing a bat nearly one week ago, and he's since been able to progress to tee work. It remains to be seen whether he'll be able to return before the end of the season after undergoing ankle surgery in May, but a timeline should come into focus as he continues to ramp up baseball activities.
