Kelly is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Brewers.

Kelly was behind the dish the previous two days for the Cubs, so he'll take a seat Tuesday. Miguel Amaya will do the catch and slot into the No. 9 spot in the batting order.

Mack is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets.

The left-handed-hitting Mack's days off typically come when the opposition has a southpaw on the mound, and that's the case here with Sean Manaea slated to toe the rubber for the Mets. Brian Navarreto will handle the catching duties for the Marlins.

Rutschman is not in the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Angels.

The switch-hitting Rutschman has been better against righties (.789 OPS) than lefties (.640 OPS) this season, so he'll get a break as the Angels send southpaw Reid Detmers to the hill. Connor Wong will do the catching and will bat ninth for the Red Sox.

Langeliers (knee) took batting practice Monday and is slated to run the bases Tuesday, per MLB.com.

Langeliers has made steady progress in his recovery from the meniscectomy he underwent on his right knee at the end of July. The Athletics are well out of the playoff race and don't need to push the 28-year-old, but his continued buildup in rehab leaves the door open for a late-season return to the active roster. Before hitting the shelf, the catcher slashed .263/.332/.497 with 23 home runs, 51 RBI, 55 runs and two stolen bases in 93 games.

The Pirates outrighted Bethancourt to Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday.

Bethancourt did not appear in a game during his brief time on the Pirates' 40-man roster, but he's slated to remain in the organization as experienced catching depth. The 35-year-old is a career .229/.259/.362 hitter over parts of eight big-league seasons.

Rutschman went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Monday's 5-2 win over the Angels.

Rutschman supplied the biggest swing of Boston's four-run second inning, turning on a 97.8 mph fastball from former Orioles teammate Grayson Rodriguez and sending it off the Pesky Pole for a three-run homer. The blast was Rutschman's 12th of the season and fourth since joining Boston. He's hit safely in four of his last six games, so he could be gearing up for a strong finish over the last few weeks of the regular season.

Kirk went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.

Kirk has gone 10-for-35 (.286) over his last eight games, adding two homers and six RBI in that span. The catcher's blast got the Blue Jays on the board in the second inning. Kirk is batting .276 with a .767 OPS, nine homers, 35 RBI, 21 runs scored, seven doubles and a stolen base over 66 games this season.

Smith is not in the lineup for Monday's contest against the Reds.

The Dodgers have eased Smith back into things since he was activated from the injured list last week, as this is the third time he's been out of the lineup in seven games. Hunter Feduccia is doing the catching and will bat seventh in the series opener.

Cavanaugh is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals.

After starting at catcher in Sunday's series finale versus the Mets, Cavanaugh will take a seat as the Giants open up a homestand Monday. Andrew Knizner will be behind the dish and will bat seventh.

Millas will return to Washington, D.C. this week to receive a second opinion on his fractured left index finger and is likely to require surgery, Spencer Nusbaum of The Athletic reports.

Millas fractured the same finger last August and needed surgery, and though he was hopeful to avoid a procedure after breaking the digit back on July 11, he hasn't healed as anticipated and will likely need to go under the knife again. Before a decision is made on his next steps, Millas will meet with a specialist. Prior to landing on the injured list, Millas had been serving as the Nationals' No. 2 catcher behind Keibert Ruiz and produced a .185/.277/.262 batting line with two home runs, 11 RBI and 18 runs in 50 games.
