Naylor is starting behind the plate and batting ninth Sunday against the Reds.

The 26-year-old was called up to Milwaukee when rosters expanded to 28 players on Tuesday, and he'll now make his Brewers debut after being acquired from the Guardians at the trade deadline. Naylor posted a .143/.200/.238 slash line in 90 plate appearances to begin the season for Cleveland before being demoted and then had a .782 OPS in 45 contests for Triple-A Columbus, but he was more productive at Triple-A Nashville after the trade with four homers and a .903 OPS in 14 games.

Contreras is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds.

Contreras started the previous six games and will get a breather Sunday after going 7-for-25 (.280 average) with four doubles, a homer, four RBI and six runs during that stretch. He has a 1.011 OPS with 11 extra-base hits in his past 18 contests. Bo Naylor is picking up a start behind the plate in the series finale at Cincinnati, which will be his Brewers debut.

Raleigh went 3-for-4 with a double and run scored in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Athletics.

Raleigh had half of the Mariners' hits, including their only extra-base knock. This was his second multi-hit effort in a row and his third such game during his seven-game hitting streak. The catcher is now batting .182 with a .674 OPS, 21 home runs, 58 RBI, 40 runs scored, 12 doubles and two stolen bases over 108 contests this year.

Rushing is scheduled to get imaging on his injured right elbow Sunday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Rushing was a late scratch from Saturday's lineup versus Washington after experiencing right elbow discomfort during an on-field throwing session. The backstop has been limited to DH and pinch-hit duties since returning from the IL on Sept. 1, but now even his ability to hit is in question due to the setback. Manager Dave Roberts said after Saturday's win that regardless of the results of Sunday's tests, Rushing will pause his throwing progression.

Rushing's scratch from the Dodgers' lineup for Saturday's tilt against Washington was due to right elbow discomfort.

Rushing was removed from the lineup a couple hours before the scheduled start of the contest after originally being penciled in as Los Angeles' designated hitter. Per Katie Woo of The Athletic, Rushing threw on the field before the game as part of an effort to ramp up his throwing program, so that's presumably when the elbow discomfort cropped up. It's unclear at the moment if he'll be held out beyond Saturday. Rushing has been limited to DH and pinch-hit duties since being reinstated from the injured list Sept. 1.

Los Angeles hasn't yet provided a reason for Rushing's removal, but that information should come shortly. Rushing had originally been slated to bat seventh as the DH. Instead, Teoscar Hernandez will move from left field to DH, and Alex Call will take Hernandez's spot in LF.

Ruiz (head) will start at catcher and bat eighth Saturday against the Nationals, Mark Zuckerman of NatsJournal.com reports.

Ruiz will return to the starting nine for the first time since taking a foul tip off his mask during Wednesday's game against Atlanta. The 28-year-old has been productive when in the lineup recently, slashing .348/.411/.470 with two homers, nine RBI and eight runs scored across 73 plate appearances since the beginning of August.

Smith isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.

Smith will catch a breather after going 1-for-13 with two RBI and two runs scored in his first four games since returning from the IL. Hunter Feduccia will handle catching duties and bat ninth.

Teel is not in the White Sox's starting lineup against the Twins on Saturday.

Teel was reinstated from the injured list Friday after fully recovering from a left high-ankle sprain and went 0-for-3 in his return. He'll be on the bench for Saturday's contest while Jake Rogers starts behind home plate and bats ninth while forming a battery with southpaw Anthony Kay.

Heineman is not in the Angels' starting lineup against the Pirates on Saturday, Erica Weston of Angels Broadcast Television reports.

Heineman will get a breather as Moises Ballesteros starts behind home plate and bats fifth while forming a battery with Yusei Kikuchi. Heineman has struggled at the plate since the All-Star break, slashing .182/.237/.236 with three RBI across 65 plate appearances.
