Freeland (neck) is expected to pitch in a rehab game at Double-A Hartford on Wednesday, Kevin Henry of The Denver Gazette reports.

Freeland landed on the injured list Aug. 24 due to cervical radiculopathy, and after spending the past week throwing off a mound, the 33-year-old is now ready to return to a competitive setting. It's unclear whether he'll make additional rehab appearances beyond Wednesday, but because he hasn't been on the shelf very long, he shouldn't need much time to ramp back up.

The Diamondbacks optioned Cabrera to Triple-A Reno on Tuesday.

The right-hander fired three scoreless frames out of the bullpen Monday in Kansas City and will now be sent down in favor of a fresh bullpen arm. Cabrera has made seven appearances (five starts) for the Diamondbacks this year and has a 4.33 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 18:10 K:BB across 27 innings.

Elder is expected to be sidelined 3-to-4 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Tuesday, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.

Elder had his knee examined by a doctor in Philadelphia on Monday, and the decision was made to have the minor procedure. The right-hander will not return before the end of the regular season, but Elder is aiming to be available at some point during the playoffs. Elder will conclude his regular season having gone 8-8 with a 4.11 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 121:49 K:BB over 149 innings covering 26 starts.

Weathers (forearm) did some flat-ground throwing from 75 feet Tuesday, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.

The left-hander said after the throwing session that he feels "really good" as he works his way back from a flexor strain. Weathers is aiming to rejoin the Yankees as a reliever later this month.

The Diamondbacks reinstated Burnes (elbow) from the 60-day injured list to start Tuesday's game against the Royals.

The 31-year-old is ready to step on a big-league mound for the first time since June 1, 2025, when he suffered the elbow injury that forced him to undergo Tommy John surgery. Burnes made just one rehab appearance in the minors but also pitched in a bridge game last week, during which he built up to 50 pitches. The right-hander seems likely to be limited to about 60 pitches in his first start back from the IL, with the Diamondbacks likely to be monitoring his workload closely down the stretch.

Prielipp struck out five and allowed two earned runs on five hits and no walks across four innings of relief in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Tigers.

Prielipp made a second straight appearance as a bulk reliever, this time piggybacking Joe Ryan (glute), who was lifted after four innings and 66 pitches in his first start with Minnesota in more than a month following his return from the injured list. Ryan should be ready to handle a more standard workload in his next start, so unless the Twins elect to expand the rotation to six men, Prielipp could end up taking on a more flexible bullpen role over the final two weeks of the season. The Twins are looking to limit Prielipp's workload down the stretch; he's already racked up 126.2 frames between the majors and Triple-A St. Paul in 2026, a 44-inning increase from his 2025 total.

Stock is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Marlins in Miami.

After Stock notched a hold while facing two hitters in a relief appearance during Friday's win over the Giants, the Mets will plug him back into a starting role this week while the club moves to a six-man rotation. Interim manager Andy Green said earlier this month that he plans to keep Christian Scott on at least a five-day rest schedule between starts for the remainder of the season, and with the Mets kicking off a stretch of 10 games in 10 days beginning Friday, Stock could be in line for at least one more turn through the rotation beyond Wednesday. In his prior six starts with New York, Stock turned in a 5.88 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 25:13 K:BB across 26 innings.

Cameron didn't factor into the decision Monday against the Diamondbacks after allowing three hits and two walks while striking out seven over six scoreless innings.

Cameron dominated Arizona and didn't allow a runner to advance beyond first base during his six innings. He lowered his ERA to 3.93 with this strong showing, and he now owns a 1.66 ERA across 59.2 innings over his last nine starts dating back to July 24. Cameron is scheduled to make his next start Sunday on the road against the Red Sox.

Rodriguez (4-7) took the loss Monday against the Red Sox after allowing five runs on six hits and four walks while striking out three over four innings.

Rodriguez escaped a bases-loaded jam in the first but couldn't repeat the feat in the second. Jarren Duran opened the inning with a solo homer before Rodriguez surrendered a three-run shot to former Orioles teammate Adley Rutschman, putting the Angels in a 4-0 hole they'd never escape from. Rodriguez's ERA climbed to 6.28 after this outing, and he's given up at least three earned runs in four of his last six starts. The 26-year-old should remain a risky fantasy option and is slated to make his next start on the road against the Nationals this weekend.

Cease allowed five runs (four earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Monday.

Cease had posted a 1.71 ERA over 58 innings spanning nine starts since the All-Star break. He found some trouble in Sacramento, though the Blue Jays' offense did enough to prevent him from taking a loss. Cease is at a 2.40 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 227:67 K:BB across 161.1 innings over 27 starts this season. The right-hander is projected to make his next start at home versus the Orioles.
