  • Miguel Vargas 3B | CHW

White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Resting up Wednesday

Vargas is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

Vargas will hit the bench for just the fourth time through the White Sox's first 49 games of the season in what appears to be a routine maintenance day. With Vargas taking a seat, Luisangel Acuna will pick up a start at shortstop, while Colson Montgomery slides over to Vargas' usual spot at third base.

  • Darell Hernaiz SS | ATH

Athletics' Darell Hernaiz: Scores twice Tuesday

Hernaiz went 2-for-4 with an RBI, two runs scored and a walk in Tuesday's 14-6 win over the Angels.

Hernaiz got in on the action as the Athletics tallied a season high in runs, scoring twice before adding an RBI single in the ninth inning. Since Jacob Wilson (shoulder) landed on the injured list May 12, Hernaiz has stepped in as the primary shortstop and performed admirably. Over the past eight games, he has gone 10-for-25 (.400) with a double, an RBI and five runs scored.

  • Coby Mayo 3B | BAL

Orioles' Coby Mayo: Out of lineup Wednesday

Mayo is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays, reports Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun

Mayo is sitting out of Wednesday's matinee against Tampa Bay after going 0-for-2 with a walk Tuesday, ending his brief five-game hitting streak. Mayo is batting just .183 with five home runs and a .590 OPS in 140 plate appearances on the campaign. Weston Wilson will start at third base over Mayo in the series finale.

  • Oliver Dunn 3B | TB

Rays' Oliver Dunn: Summoned to big leagues

Tampa Bay selected Dunn to the major-league roster Wednesday, Ryan Bass of Rays.tv reports.

Just one day after acquiring Dunn in a trade with the White Sox, the Rays will add the 28-year-old utility player to the 40-man roster and 26-man active roster. Dunn has posted a weak .551 OPS over 55 games at the big-league level with Milwaukee over the past two seasons, but he had been a standout performer at Triple-A Charlotte thus far in 2026, slashing .295/.393/.545 with nine home runs and nine stolen bases over 183 plate appearances. Dunn will provide the Rays with a left-handed-hitting option off the bench who's capable of playing three infield spots as well as left field.

  • Caleb Durbin 3B | BOS

Red Sox's Caleb Durbin: Back in lineup

Durbin started at third base and went 1-for-3 with an RBI in Tuesday's 7-1 win over Kansas City.

Durbin, who returned to the lineup following a two-day break, drove in a run with a single in his first plate appearance. He entered the game on a 1-for-18 (.056) stretch and batting just .165 for the season.

  • Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU

Astros' Isaac Paredes: Slaps fifth homer Tuesday

Paredes went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Twins.

Paredes accounted for all of Houston's offense with one swing, taking Zebby Matthews deep for a two-run homer in the first inning. The long ball was his fifth of the season and his second in the last four games. On the year, Paredes is batting .250 with a .728 OPS, seven doubles, 20 RBI and 18 runs scored across 182 plate appearances.

  • Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY

Yankees' Ryan McMahon: Breaks out of drought Tuesday

McMahon went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a steal during the Yankees' 5-4 win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Dylan Cease dominated the Yankees' bats through the first three innings of Tuesday's game, but McMahon came up big for his team with a three-run homer to left field that tied things up at 3-3. It was a much-needed performance out of the veteran third baseman, who entered the game with a .541 OPS (in 133 plate appearances) and having gone 0-for-23 across his seven prior outings.

  • Oliver Dunn 3B | TB

Rays' Oliver Dunn: Dealt to Rays

The White Sox traded Dunn to the Rays on Tuesday in exchange for Joe Rock.

Dunn doesn't own a 40-man roster spot, though he may soon receive one from the Rays after slashing .296/.397/.533 with eight homers, 33 RBI 31 runs scored and nine steals through 40 games at Triple-A Charlotte. Until then, he'll fill in as organizational infield depth at Durham.

  • Royce Lewis 3B | MIN

    Twins' Royce Lewis: Demoted Tuesday

The Twins optioned Lewis to Triple-A St. Paul on Tuesday, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

The third baseman struggled to a .671 OPS in 106 games last season and has been even worse in 2026 with a .163/.261/.279 slash line and 31.1 percent strikeout rate through 119 plate appearances, so the Twins will send him to Triple-A in hopes he can get back on track. Lewis has finally been able to stay fairly healthy the past two seasons but has been unable to replicate the .825 OPS he posted across his first 152 major-league games. Tristan Gray is likely to benefit with more chances at third base with Lewis sent down.

  • Rays' Junior Caminero: Socks three-run shot in win

Caminero went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run, an additional RBI, two additional runs scored and two walks in Monday's win over the Orioles.

Caminero went yard in back-to-back games for the fourth time this season, and he's also now posted three straight multi-RBI efforts. The star third baseman has been on a roll lately, hitting safely in all but three contests since the beginning of May. During that stretch, Caminero is hitting .271 with a .937 OPS, five homers, 12 RBI, 14 runs scored and a 10:12 K:BB across 16 games.
