Jackson and the Ravens aren't expected to agree on a contract extension before 2027, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Jackson's current contract runs through the end of 2027, but there was always a possibility he and Baltimore could negotiate an extension this summer. Instead, the star quarterback is likely to play out the 2026 campaign under his current deal, with extension talks likely to resurface following the season. Jackson has spent all eight years of his career to this point with the Ravens, earning three first-team All-Pro selections -- but no Super Bowl appearances.

Ravens' Chris Moore: Elevated to active roster
The Ravens elevated Moore from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
With Devontez Walker (groin) listed as questionable for Sunday's game, Moore may have a chance to suit up as a depth addition to the Ravens' wide receiver corps as they take on the Colts. Buchanan (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Colts.
Buchanan logged three limited sessions in Week 1 but will ultimately fall short of a green light to play. The linebacker is still recovering from the ACL tear he suffered in Week 12 of the 2025 season. The Ravens are taking it very slowly with the starter, ensuring they mitigate all risk of further injury before Buchanan gets back on the field. With Buchanan out, Jay Higgins or Trenton Simpson will likely assume starting duties next to Roquan Smith.

Madubuike (neck) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Colts, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Madubuike logged a limited practice session all three days this week. The defensive tackle is close to returning from a severe neck injury he suffered last September but will need to be fully cleared before he can return to the field. With the 28-year-old unable to suit up, Aeneas Peebles will likely draw the start at tackle next to Travis Jones and Calais Campbell on Sunday.

Madubuike has logged back-to-back limited sessions to open the week, leaving the door ajar for him to return to action Week 1 against the Colts. The defensive lineman hasn't suited up since suffering a neck injury last September, and once active, he will bolster Baltimore's pass rush this season.
