Jazz's Svi Mykhailiuk: Team-high 23 points in win
Mykhailiuk registered 23 points (6-16 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals in 33 minutes during Ukraine's 98-89 win over Montenegro in Monday's FIBA World Cup qualifier.
Mykhailiuk set the pace in scoring for Ukraine, knocking down a team-high five triples. The veteran sharpshooter wasn't a regular rotation member for the Jazz last year but was effective when called upon, averaging 9.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists while shooting 40.8 percent from deep in 23.1 minutes per game across 50 regular-season appearances (41 starts). It's possible he'll reprise a similar role for Utah in 2026-27, meaning his availability could be sporadic while the squad is healthy.

Jazz's Matthew Murrell: Signs with Utah
The Jazz signed Murrell to a contract Monday.
The terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, but it figures to be an Exhibit 10 pact since all three of Utah's two-way roster spots are currently filled. Murrell is set to test his mettle at training camp after making 44 appearances for the G League's Salt Lake City Stars in 2025-26.

Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Big double-double in FIBA action
Markkanen registered 21 points (6-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 25 minutes during Finland's 96-67 win over Estonia in Sunday's FIBA World Cup qualifier.
Markkanen looked sharp in Sunday's exhibition, recording a big double-double. The star forward delivered early-round fantasy value when healthy last year, having averaged 26.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.0 steals in 34.4 minutes per game across 42 regular-season appearances. His pathway to usage has a few more hurdles this time around, however, as Utah will be integrating Jaren Jackson and Darryn Peterson into the lineup.

Jazz's Josh Okogie: Teases triple-double Sunday
Okogie registered 15 points (5-12 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, 11 assists, one block and four steals in 30 minutes during Nigeria's 100-84 win over Cape Verde in Sunday's FIBA World Cup qualifier.
Okogie set the pace in assists for Nigeria on Sunday, flirting with a triple-double as well. The swingman agreed to a two-year deal with the Jazz this offseason, and he'll offer the club's young core a veteran presence on the wing. Jazz's Josh Green: Traded to Utah
The Timberwolves traded Green and cash considerations to the Jazz on Friday in exchange for Cody Williams and John Konchar, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
After being traded from Charlotte to Minnesota as part of the LaMelo Ball trade in June, Green is now set to begin the season with the Jazz. The 25-year-old swingman appeared in 58 regular-season games for the Hornets in 2025-26, averaging 4.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.6 steals in 15.7 minutes per contest. The addition of No. 2 overall pick Darryn Peterson may leave Bailey without a spot in Utah's starting lineup to begin the new year. The Jazz are also getting Keyonte George and Lauri Markkanen back in the lineup after the two stars sat out the final stretch of a losing season in 2025-26. Filipowski (back) is likely to settle for a bench role to begin 2026-27 after ending last season as a starter.
Filipowski filled the void left behind by Jusuf Nurkic, who underwent season-ending nose surgery in February, but the Jazz are expected to get reinforcements for Opening Night. Nurkic is the early favorite to start at center. Williams closed last season as a starter for a Jazz team that was looking ahead to 2026-27, but they should have most of their key players healthy for Opening Night and added Darryn Peterson with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Jazz's Harrison Ingram: Inks pact with Utah
Ingram signed an undisclosed contract with the Jazz on Saturday.
The terms of Ingram's deal have yet to be disclosed. The 23-year-old made seven regular-season appearances for the Spurs in 2025-26, averaging 1.6 points in 3.7 minutes per contest. He spent the majority of the season with the club's G League affiliate, the Austin Spurs, and will likely spend most of his time with the Jazz's G League affiliate, the Salt Lake City Stars, if the pact is ultimately a two-way deal.
