Maple Leafs' Zack MacEwen: Signs with Toronto
MacEwen (knee) signed a two-year, $1.75 million contract with the Maple Leafs on Wednesday.
MacEwen has been sidelined since mid-November due to an ACL injury, and it's not yet clear whether he'll be available for the start of the 2026-27 campaign. He's made 54 regular-season NHL appearances between the Senators and Devils across the last three years, racking up four goals, two assists, 110 hits, 78 PIM and 15 blocked shots while averaging 6:55 of ice time.

Maple Leafs' Nick Paul: Heading north
Paul was acquired by Toronto from Tampa Bay on Wednesday in exchange for Dennis Hildeby, a 2027 fourth-round pick and a 2028 third-round selection.
Paul comes with a $3.15 million cap hit through 2028-29, which is very reasonable given the contracts middle-six forwards are receiving thanks to the rising cap. The 31-year-old is coming off a down campaign in which he had seven goals and 15 points in 51 regular-season outings with the Lightning. However, he surpassed the 40-point milestone in each of the 2023-24 and 2024-25 regular seasons. Toronto will probably use him primarily on the third line, and he might also receive some power-play ice time.

Maple Leafs' Brandon Duhaime: Inks three-year deal with Toronto
Duhaime signed a three-year, $7.8 million contract with the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, per PuckPedia.
Duhaime appeared in all 82 regular-season games with the Capitals in each of the past two campaigns. He generated four goals, five assists, 159 hits, 78 PIM and 57 blocked shots while averaging 11:04 of ice time in 2025-26. He will attempt to bounce back with the Maple Leafs after being held to a single-digit point total last year for the first time in five NHL seasons.

Maple Leafs' Teddy Blueger: Signing with Toronto
Blueger signed a two-year, $5 million contract with the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
After appearing in all 82 regular-season games with the Canucks during the 2024-25 campaign, Blueger missed most of the first half of the 2025-26 season due to injury. Overall, he made 35 appearances last year while recording nine goals, eight assists, 55 hits, 22 PIM and 16 blocked shots while averaging 16:31 of ice time.

Maple Leafs' Colton Sissons: Joining Maple Leafs
Sissons signed a two-year, $8.5 million contract with the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
After spending the first 11 campaigns of his career in Nashville, Sissons joined the Golden Knights last year and is on the move again. Across 66 regular-season appearances with Vegas in 2025-26, he recorded six goals, five assists, 93 hits, 46 blocked shots and 28 PIM while averaging 12:30 of ice time.

Maple Leafs' Sergei Bobrovsky: Signs three-year deal
Bobrovsky agreed to terms on a three-year, $21 million contract with Toronto on Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Bobrovsky figures to immediately step into the top spot between the pipes for the Leafs, which is a blow to Anthony Stolarz's fantasy managers. In the last 10 years, the 37-year-old Bobrovsky has missed the 50-game mark just once, in the pandemic-shortened 2020-21 season. For his part, Bobrovsky is coming off the worst save percentage of his career (.877), but he didn't have much in the way of help in front of him, given Florida's extensive injury list. Still, he has plenty of bounce-back appeal.

Maple Leafs' Jack Roslovic: Heading to Toronto
Roslovic signed a two-year, $8 million contract with the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.
Roslovic will join his fifth team in the last four seasons, though he received a multi-year deal from his new club ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. Across 69 regular-season appearances with the Oilers last year, he recorded 21 goals, 15 assists, 46 hits, 27 blocked shots and 16 PIM while averaging 15:46 of ice time. He's racked up at least 30 points in six consecutive seasons, and he should have a chance to carve out a decent role with his new team.

Maple Leafs' Troy Stecher: Inks two-year deal
Stecher penned a two-year, $2.7 million contract with Toronto on Monday, Rick Dhaliwal of CHEK reports.
Stecher played in 58 regular-season games for the Maple Leafs last year after being plucked off waivers from the Oilers, producing three goals and 11 assists to go with 76 blocked shots and 28 hits. With Brandon Carlo shipped off to St. Louis, the 32-year-old Stecher should see more opportunities, though he's never been much of a power-play contributor.

Maple Leafs' Patriks Plumins: Value pick for Leafs
Plumins was the 114th overall pick by Toronto in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.
Plumins spent last season playing professionally, albeit in a lower-level league in his native Latvia. His numbers (1.50 GAA, .927 save percentage in 16 regular-season games) were awesome, but it was how he finished his year at the World U18's that had everybody talking. Plumins posted a 1.62 GAA and .947 save percentage in five games for the Latvians en route to being named the tournament's top goaltender. All netminders this age are a major risk, but Plumins has size (6-foot-4) and a history of playing well in big spots, so he's as reasonable a selection as any netminder at this stage of the draft.

Maple Leafs' Juuso Ainasto: Picked by Toronto in Round 3
Ainasto was the 85th overall pick by Toronto in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.
All players taken at this stage of the draft are obviously major risks, especially goaltenders, but Ainasto does bring elite size to the table at 6-foot-4 and close to 200 pounds. He moves well for such a big kid and has spent the past two seasons playing in Jokerit's junior program in Finland. Ranked No. 14 among European goaltenders by NHL Central Scouting, Ainasto should continue to develop in his home country for the foreseeable future.

Maple Leafs' Mans Gudmundsson: Reliable defender off to Toronto
Gudmundsson was the 76th overall pick by Toronto in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.
Checking in at a shade under 6-foot-3, Gudmundsson turned 18 years of age just a couple of weeks before the draft. His game is all about reliability. He had 25 points in 35 games in the Swedish Jr. league this past season and even made his SHL debut, appearing in one game as a 17-year-old. Gudmundsson skates well for a big guy, and he's always played hard. It's a nice all-around package, albeit one that seems likely to result in a somewhat limited ceiling. Gudmundsson, who has represented his country in multiple international tournaments, is likely to remain in Sweden for the time being.

Maple Leafs' Zach Olsen: Late riser picked by Leafs
Olsen was the 73rd overall pick by Toronto in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.
Olsen's stock is way up compared to where it was before the start of the year, which is surprising considering he managed just 18 goals and 34 points in 57 games for WHL Saskatoon in 2025-26. Olsen tends to be noticeable whenever he's on the ice. He's extremely physical and competitive, throwing a ton of hits and creating havoc in all three zones. He skates well, and his hockey sense is good enough, so Olsen has a path to a bottom-six NHL career even with a limited amount of offensive production. It's not a sexy profile by any means, but it may work out in the long run. Olsen, a Calgary native, is on the move to Colorado College for the upcoming season.

Maple Leafs' Ethan Mackenzie: Overage defender joins Leafs
Mackenzie was the 69th overall pick by Toronto in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.
MacKenzie was eligible for the 2025 Draft and wasn't selected. He returned to WHL Edmonton and had a huge year, averaging nearly a point-per-game (22 goals, 58 points in 59 games) while also making the Canadian World Junior team. MacKenzie's role fluctuated throughout the course of the tournament, but he didn't look out of place by any means, going up against the top players in his age group. MacKenzie's upside at the highest level appears limited, but his skating will give him a chance to play NHL games. He is leaving the WHL to join the University of North Dakota this coming season.

Maple Leafs' Alexander Bilecki: OHL defender joins Leafs
Bilecki was the 60th overall pick by Toronto in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.
Scouts got a bunch of looks at Bilecki this past season, as he played a significant role for a Kitchener team that won the OHL Championship and the Memorial Cup. The rearguard more than doubled his offensive numbers from a year ago, finishing with nine goals and 29 points in 66 games. He added 11 more points in 18 OHL playoff games. Bilecki is a reliable two-way defenseman. He doesn't project as a power-play guy at the next level, but he should be able to add a decent amount of secondary offense. What Bilecki lacks is a standout trait, and it's fair to wonder if his all-around game is good enough to make an impact in the NHL. Bilecki is a candidate for increased production in the OHL next season, with Kitchener scheduled to graduate several of its top defenders.

Maple Leafs' Gavin McKenna: Top pick overall at Entry Draft
McKenna was the first overall pick by Toronto in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft on Friday.
McKenna's offensive skills are the best in the draft -- he's an absolute wizard with the puck. His edgework makes him highly elusive, and his vision and playmaking are already NHL elite. And he can walk in off the wall and snipe well enough to keep defenders honest. Those skills make McKenna a natural to run the top power-play unit from the half-wall, like Patrick Kane has done for years. Sure, there are plenty of holes in the teenager's game -- he retreats to the perimeter under pressure and shies away from physical contact. And he's been criticized for his defensive effort and his 5v5 play, especially away from the puck. There shouldn't be much concern, however. McKenna will take some time to adjust to the NHL, just like he did to the NCAA. Then watch for him to be in the Calder mix by season's end after skating alongside Auston Matthews, William Nylander and/or John Tavares.

Maple Leafs' Anthony Stolarz: Ready for 2026-27
Stolarz (groin) has fully recovered from his groin injury and is expected to be the starter heading into training camp, according to general manager John Chayka, per Luke Fox of Sportsnet on Thursday.
Stolarz being deemed the starting goalie by Chayka shouldn't come as a huge surprise after the club traded away Joseph Woll in mid-June. The 32-year-old Stolarz was limited to just 26 regular-season appearances due to injuries this year, posting a 10-10-3 record and 3.28 GAA. That injury history should be a red flag for fantasy managers, especially considering he has reached the 30-game mark only once in his NHL career.

Maple Leafs' Easton Cowan: Trio of helpers in win
Cowan logged three assists in AHL Toronto's 4-3 win over Chicago in Game 5 of the Calder Cup Finals on Friday.
Cowan picked up his third multi-point effort of the Marlies' playoff run at a great time. He helped out on all three of Toronto's goals in the second period, which was enough to secure the Calder Cup. Cowan finished the postseason with eight goals, 10 assists and 44 shots on net over 22 outings. Expect the 21-year-old to spend all of 2026-27 with the Maple Leafs.

Maple Leafs' Darren Raddysh: Moved in sign-and-trade deal
Raddysh was traded to the Maple Leafs from the Lightning on Friday in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round pick and agreed to terms on an eight-year, $68 million contract, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports.
Raddysh was expected to hit the free-agent market July 1, so the fact that the Lightning were able to get at least something on the trade market feels like a win. The 30-year-old blueliner is coming off a career year in Tampa this season, racking up 22 goals and 48 assists, including 25 power-play points, in 73 regular-season contests. With Toronto, Raddysh figures to slot into the top pairing in addition to linking up with the No. 1 power-play unit.

Maple Leafs' Artur Akhtyamov: Posts shutout in Game 3
Akhtyamov recorded a 24-save shutout in AHL Toronto's 1-0 win over Chicago in Game 3 of the Calder Cup Finals on Tuesday.
Akhtyamov has stood out in the playoffs with a 14-6 record, two shutouts, a 2.10 GAA and a .928 save percentage over 20 games. His effort Tuesday was a big one, giving the Marlies a 3-0 lead in the championship series. Akhtyamov will likely get the chance to close out the sweep in Game 4 on Thursday.

Maple Leafs' Emil Andrae: Heading north in trade
Andrae, Samuel Ersson and a 2026 third-round pick were acquired by the Maple Leafs from the Flyers on Tuesday in exchange for Joseph Woll and Simon Benoit.
With this move to Toronto, Andrae will have the chance to carve out an everyday role with his new club. The 24-year-old accounted for two goals, 13 points, 68 hits, 58 blocks and a plus-15 rating over 61 regular-season games with the Flyers in 2025-26. Andrae will likely fill a third-pairing role to start with the Maple Leafs, and he could factor into the second power-play unit if he performs well in the early going.
