Overall, Toews now has 11 goals, 28 points, 104 shots on net and 31 blocked shots through 78 appearances this season. The 37-year-old forward has displayed excellent durability this season, having yet to miss a game for the Jets after not playing in the NHL for two years due to health issues. He's also been heating up offensively of late with four goals and seven points over his last 12 games, giving him solid streaming value in deep fantasy leagues for the remainder of the regular season.

It was Toews' first multi-point effort since Jan. 15, and through 77 games on the season, he's chipped in 10 goals and 27 points.

Toews scored a goal on two shots in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Predators.

Toews notched an assist and two shots on goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Canucks.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Extends goal streak to four games

Toews scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Thursday's 6-2 win over the Wild.

The veteran center opened the scoring late in the first period, banging home the rebound on a Mark Scheifele shot. Toews has found a groove since Christmas, finding the back of the net in four straight games and collecting four goals and nine points in the last 11 contests, impressive numbers considering he had just three goals and nine points through his first 35 games with Winnipeg.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Goal streak at three games

Toews scored a power-play goal on three shots in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Islanders.

Toews has scored in three straight contests. His tally Tuesday was his first power-play point since Oct. 20 versus the Flames. The center is up to six goals, 16 points, 63 shots on net, 23 blocked shots and a minus-11 rating over 45 appearances. With seven of those points coming over the last 10 contests, Toews has worked his way back into the conversation as a fantasy depth forward, at least as long as his offense stays hot.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Scores again Sunday

Toews scored a goal and went plus-2 in Sunday's 4-3 win over the Devils.

This was Toews' second game in a row with a goal, and he's gotten on the scoresheet in six of the Jets' last nine contests. That's been enough for him to regain a second-line role after a dip into the bottom six. Toews is at five goals, 15 points, 60 shots on net, 23 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-11 rating through 44 appearances this season.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Tallies in win

Toews scored a goal and added two hits in Friday's 5-1 win over the Kings.

Toews had gone nearly two months without a goal -- his last one was versus the Canucks on Nov. 11. The center was cold for much of the 26 contests in between, but he's picked up the pace with five points over his last eight outings. For the season, Toews has 14 points, 59 shots on net, 22 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a minus-13 rating across 43 appearances.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Finds assist in overtime loss

Toews logged an assist in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Wild.

Toews had a faceoff win late in the second period that set up Mark Scheifele for a goal to give the Jets a 3-2 lead. The 37-year-old Toews has had a hard time impacting the Jets' play on offense, but he's won 62.6 percent of his faceoffs this year, the third-best win rate among players who have taken at least 100 draws. The helper gave him 10 points with 50 shots on net, 18 PIM, 19 blocked shots and a minus-14 rating over 36 appearances.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Scores go-ahead goal

Toews scored a goal in Friday's 5-3 win over the Flames.

Toews has scored both of his goals this season against the Flames. His tally Friday put the Jets ahead 2-1 in the second period. The 37-year-old has played pretty well for someone who was out of the league for two full years, earning five points (three on the power play), eight shots on net, seven blocked shots, eight PIM and a minus-4 rating through eight appearances. There are still some gaps in his play, which can be expected given his age and time away, but he's a decent source of offense.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Pots first goal of season

Toews scored a power-play goal in Monday's 2-1 win over the Flames.

Toews netted the equalizer for the Jets at 2:41 of the third period with a tip-in, giving him his first goal of the season. The 37-year-old veteran, who's back in the league after a two-year absence, endured a slow start to the season but seems to be playing better of late, providing four points (one goal, three assists) in his last four games. All but one of those helpers have come on the power play, as his outstanding IQ and vision are valuable assets for the Jets with the man advantage.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Records two helpers

Toews dished out a pair of assists in Saturday's 4-1 win over Nashville.

With just a single assist over his first four games in Winnipeg, Toews turned back the clock on Saturday night and posted his first multi-point outing of the season. After a two-year absence, Toews is one of the feel-good stories early in the 2025-26 season. Winnipeg signed him in the offseason for his championship experience, defensive accolades, and faceoff abilities.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Tallies first point since 2022

Toews posted an assist and blocked two shots in Monday's 5-2 win over the Islanders.

For the first time since the 2022-23 season, NHL fans can celebrate the inclusion of Toews back on a scoresheet. Not only did the 37-year-old center grab his first point in the past three seasons, but he did so on a power play, as he registered the second assist on Nino Niederreiter's goal in the first period. With his first point out of the way, Toews should continue to see middle-six minutes with the added bonus of power-play time on the second unit. Toews likely won't be the 81-point player we saw in the 2018-19 season, but his early involvement in the offense is an encouraging sign that he has some high-level play left in the tank. While he shouldn't be on the fantasy radar in standard formats, Toews could bounce back into a solid option in deeper leagues on a Winnipeg team coming off a 116-point 2024-25 regular season.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: In action versus Stars

Toews (undisclosed) will be in the lineup for Thursday's season opener against the Stars, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Toews will not only be making his Winnipeg debut, but he will be playing in an NHL game for the first time since 2022-23, when he was with the Blackhawks. In that final season with Chicago, the center notched 15 goals and 16 helpers in 53 regular-season tilts, including 12 power-play points. If he can produce at that level in 2025-26, his one-year deal with the Jets will be considered a success.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Set for stint on IR

Toews (undisclosed) was placed on non-roster, injured reserve Monday, per PuckPedia.

Head coach Scott Arniel deemed Toews day-to-day Thursday, but it's currently unclear if the severity of the 37-year-old's injury has worsened over the last several days due to his placement on non-roster injured reserve. The Manitoba native "tweaked something" in preseason action last week. Considering the Jets have a deep forward group, the organization will probably be extremely cautious with Toews' recovery, especially since he hasn't played in the NHL since 2022-23. Vladislav Namestnikov will center the second line as long as Toews is unavailable.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Considered day-to-day

Toews (undisclosed) was labeled day-to-day by head coach Scott Arniel on Thursday, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.

Toews seems unlikely to suit up in Friday's preseason finale against the Flames, and he instead should be expected to focus on being 100 percent ahead of Opening Night against the Stars on Oct. 9. Barring any setbacks, the veteran center should slide into the No. 2 center role for the Jets, at least until Adam Lowry (hip) is cleared to return. At that point, Toews could be shifted to the wing while remaining in a top-six role.

  • Jets' Jonathan Toews: Needs further evaluation

Toews (undisclosed) "tweaked something" in Tuesday's preseason game versus the Wild and will undergo further evaluation in the coming days, Murat Ates of The Athletic reports.

Toews exited the game in the second period and did not return. The 37-year-old center was one of two Jets to leave the contest, as Vladislav Namestnikov (upper body) was also hurt. Toews' status should be updated prior to the Jets' preseason finale Friday in Calgary.
