Johnathan Edwards: Cut loose by Indianapolis
Edwards was waived by the Colts on Monday.
Edwards didn't play in Sunday's 41-23 loss to the Ravens, and he will now be placed on waivers. The transaction clears a roster spot for Cam Taylor-Britt (suspension), who will be reinstated from a one-game suspension ahead of the team's Week 2 matchup with the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football. Edwards played in 14 regular-season contests with Indianapolis in 2025, recording 26 total tackles (19 solo) and three passes defensed, and if he clears waivers, the Colts will likely look to add him to their practice squad.

Colts' Johnathan Edwards: Healthy scratch for opener
Edwards was inactive for Sunday's win over Miami.
Edwards was diagnosed with a concussion in the Colts' second preseason contest but was able to retake the field one week later. He looks healthy as the season begins but didn't have a role in Week 1. He could return to the active roster if Jaylon Jones is sidelined for any time with a hamstring injury he suffered in the opener.

Colts' Johnathan Edwards: Diagnosed with concussion
Edwards has been ruled out for the remainder of Saturday's matchup against Green Bay due to a concussion, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
Prior to exiting, Edwards racked up six tackles (two solo). The 23-year-old signed with Indianapolis as an undrafted free agent in May and is battling to make the 53-man roster as a depth option in the secondary. Edwards will need to clear concussion protocol before he's able to practice or play in additional exhibition contests.
