Heat's Kel'el Ware: Double-double with five blocks
Ware chipped in 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-8 3Pt), 19 rebounds, four assists and five blocks over 42 minutes during Tuesday's 127-126 overtime Play-In Tournament loss to Charlotte.
Ware did everything he could to get Miami over the line, leading the game with 19 rebounds and five blocks. With Bam Adebayo leaving early due to a back injury, Ware was forced into a sizeable role, serving as the primary big man. While it was a solid season for Ware, his ongoing role will no doubt be a contentious topic, as he switched between starting and coming off the bench for much of the 2025-26 campaign.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Moving into first unit
Ware is in the starting lineup for Friday's game versus Washington, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The Heat are without several key contributors in the penultimate game of the regular season, allowing Ware to draw his 33rd start of the year. The second-year big man has averaged 10.0 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 25.0 minutes per contest across his previous five appearances as a starter.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Huge performance off bench Saturday
Ware supplied 24 points (10-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 19 rebounds, two assists and seven blocks in 36 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 152-136 win over the Wizards.
The double-double was the 24th of the season for the second-year center, and the points and boards were his best performances in those categories since a 28-19 effort against the Knicks on Dec. 21. The seven rejections also tied his career high, a mark he first set March 5 against the Nets. Ware has been locked in from long range over the last couple weeks, averaging 10.9 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.9 threes and 1.4 blocks in 20.0 minutes a contest while shooting 48.1 percent (13-for-27) from beyond the arc.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Muted role continues
Ware logged five points (2-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt), six rebounds and two assists over 13 minutes during Monday's 119-109 win over the 76ers.
Ware logged no more than 15 minutes for the second straight game, continuing what has been a wildly unpredictable season. Despite being a top-70 player through 71 games, Ware has struggled to carve out a consistent spot in the rotation. For example, in eight games over the past two weeks, he has averaged just 8.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointers in 18.1 minutes per contest.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Strong line off bench
Ware totaled 13 points (5-5 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists and one block in 20 minutes during Wednesday's 120-103 win over the Cavaliers.
Ware continues to trend in the right direction for Miami. Over his last eight games, he's nearly averaging a double-double in 21.5 minutes per contest with 8.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 blocks on 47.2 percent shooting from the field.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Hits rock bottom in loss
Ware registered one rebound across five minutes during Saturday's 123-122 loss to Houston.
Ware barely saw the court, logging just five minutes Saturday. For those still holding Ware, this could be the final nail in the coffin when it comes to his fantasy value. Despite the clear upside, his role is seemingly impossible to predict at this point. Even with multiple injuries to other players, Ware hasn't been able to solidify a consistent spot in the rotation. With that said, he should be better than this on most nights, at least keeping him on the radar in standard leagues.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Headed to bench
Ware will come off the bench in Thursday's game versus the Lakers, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports.
Bam Adebayo (calf) is back and starting, so Ware will shift back to the second unit. As a reserve this season, the second-year center has posted averages of 9.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per contest.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Posts double-double
Ware ended with 13 points (5-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 27 minutes during Saturday's 121-117 loss to the Magic.
Ware was efficient from the floor and showed impressive energy on the glass en route to posting his first double-double since March 5. He has four double-doubles over his last seven games and has grabbed double-digit boards five times during that stretch. The second-year big man is an excellent option in both point-based and category-based formats due to his ability to fill the stat sheet with ease.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Starting Thursday

Ware is back and starting after a one-game absence, and he'll be joined in the first unit by Davion Mitchell, Pelle Larsson, Kasparas Jakucionis and Bam Adebayo. As a starter this season, Ware owns averages of 13.1 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.3 triples and 1.3 swats per contest.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Good to go Thursday
Ware (shoulder) is good to go for Thursday's game against the Bucks.
Ware is all set to return from a one-game absence. With this news, Simone Fontecchio could lose some playing time, with Ware likely to reprise his spot in the rotation. Heat's Kel'el Ware: Iffy for Thursday
Ware is questionable for Thursday's game against the Bucks due to right shoulder strain.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Ruled out for Tuesday
Ware (shoulder) is out for Tuesday's game against the Wizards.
Ware was unable to shake his questionable tag and will miss his first game since Jan. 25. Presumably, he'll be listed as day-to-day ahead of Thursday's game against the Bucks. Myron Gardner and Jaime Jaquez are candidates for more minutes with this news.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Questionable for Tuesday
Ware is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Wizards due to a right shoulder strain.
It's a new injury for Ware, who hasn't missed a game since Jan. 25. If the second-year big man cannot suit up Tuesday, more playing time would be available for Myron Gardner and Jaime Jaquez.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Defensive presence felt in win
Ware recorded 10 points (4-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, four blocks and one steal in 31 minutes during Friday's 128-120 win over Charlotte.
With Andrew Wiggins (toe) sidelined Friday, Ware stepped into a heavier workload and logged 31 minutes for a second consecutive game. While his three-game double-double streak came to an end, the second-year center remained a massive defensive anchor, leading the Heat with four blocks. Ware has been on a defensive tear recently, racking up 11 blocks and 11 steals over his last three outings. His ability to provide elite rim protection while stretching the floor with at least one triple in 11 straight games keeps his fantasy ceiling high, especially while Miami manages injuries in the frontcourt.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Monster stat line Thursday
Ware contributed 16 points (7-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, seven blocks and five steals across 32 minutes during Thursday's 126-110 win over the Nets.
Ware finished just three blocks away from recording a triple-double and also added five steals, so his impact on both ends of the court was massive for the Heat. The second-year big man has three straight double-doubles and has notched that feat in seven of his last 10 appearances. The defensive impact can't be overlooked either -- he has seven blocks and 10 steals over his last two contests, both coming off the bench.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Double-doubles off bench
Ware contributed 11 points (5-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 13 rebounds, one assist and five steals in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 124-98 victory over Brooklyn.
Ware made the most of his minutes off the bench en route to posting his second straight double-double, and he's achieved that feat in four of his six appearances off the bench since the All-Star break. Over that span, Ware is averaging a robust line of 11.3 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals across 21.0 minutes per game.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Big effort on glass
Ware closed Saturday's 115-105 victory over Houston with 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 15 rebounds, one assist and one block across 29 minutes off the bench.
The double-double was Ware's 19th of the season, with five of them coming in the last eight games (two starts). During that surge, the second-year center is averaging 12.5 points, 11.0 boards and 1.3 threes in 21.1 minutes.

Ware had 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt), 15 rebounds and one steal in 19 minutes during Saturday's 136-120 win over the Grizzlies.
Ware put together another highly efficient performance that even included a three-pointer in the Heat's high-scoring win. He now has back-to-back double-doubles while coming off the bench since play resumed following the All-Star break.

Heat's Kel'el Ware: Back to bench Friday
Ware is not in the Heat's starting lineup against the Hawks on Friday.
Ware started in each of the Heat's last two games before the All-Star break and recorded a double-double against the Pelicans on Feb. 11. However, the second-year center will retreat to the bench for Friday's contest after Andrew Wiggins (toe) was cleared to play.
