Rumfield went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Wednesday against the Rangers.
Rumfield did his damage early, driving in a run with a single in the opening frame. That brought his RBI total to 25 on the season, and he's hit .283 with three homers, eight RBI and 10 runs scored across 16 games in May. Rumfield is the Rockies' primary first baseman and should continue to get regular run as one of the team's better hitters.

Rumfield went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 10-4 win over the Pirates.
Rumfield extended Colorado's lead to 7-4 in the eighth inning with a two-out homer off Brandan Bidois, his sixth of the season. The 25-year-old Rumfield has been swinging the bat well of late, going 12-for-33 (.364) with three homers in his last eight games. Overall, he's slashing .277/.339/.452 with 22 RBI and 17 runs scored across 171 plate appearances in his rookie campaign.

Rumfield got the Rockies on the board in the sixth inning with his fifth home run of the season. This was his second three-hit effort in the last three games, and both of those performances have included a long ball. In addition to the homers, the first baseman is up to 20 RBI, 13 runs scored, six doubles and a triple while batting .274 with a .780 OPS over 37 contests this season. The rookie has carved out an everyday role through steady hitting and good plate discipline (12:23 BB:K).
