O'Hearn went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Tuesday's 7-1 win over the Padres.
O'Hearn has reached base safely in all 10 starts this season and has reached base multiple times in nine of those 10 contests. He's swinging a hot bat in the middle of the Pittsburgh lineup and is now slashing a team-best .389/.489/.694 with three home runs, 11 RBI, six runs scored and an 8:7 BB:K across 45 plate appearances.

Pirates' Ryan O'Hearn: Smacks third homer
O'Hearn went 2-for-5 with a double, a two-run home run and four RBI in Sunday's game against the Orioles.
O'Hearn kicked off the scoring with a two-run home run in the first inning, his third long ball of the season. He added a two-RBI double one frame later, his third multi-RBI effort of the campaign. O'Hearn has had a strong start to the season by collecting at least one hit in seven of eight games, and he's even started two of three contests against lefties.

Pirates' Ryan O'Hearn: Absent from Wednesday's lineup
O'Hearn is not in the lineup for Wednesday's contest in Cincinnati.
The left-handed-hitting O'Hearn was in the lineup the first two times the Pirates faced a lefty this season, but he'll take a seat in Wednesday's series finale as the Reds send southpaw Andrew Abbott to the hill. Jake Mangum will cover right field and Spencer Horwitz will handle first base for the Pirates.

Pirates' Ryan O'Hearn: Productive in Pirates debut
O'Hearn went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two runs scored Thursday against the Mets.
O'Hearn took Tobias Myers yard in the sixth inning to tally his first home run of 2026 as well as with the Pirates. O'Hearn led off the final frame with a single and came around to score his second run of the contest. He started in right field and hit fifth in the order, and he should continue to hold a prominent role in Pittsburgh's lineup against right-handed pitchers.

Pirates' Ryan O'Hearn: Set to play RF
The Pirates plan to play O'Hearn primarily in right field in 2026, Anthony Castrovince of MLB.com reports.
O'Hearn was originally projected to play at either first base or serve as DH, but the addition of Marcell Ozuna will take away many of those at-bats. O'Hearn will seemingly be Pittsburgh's primary right fielder as a result, a position he played 149.0 innings at in 2025. He registered negative-4 runs saved in that span, though left field is the far more difficult corner to cover at PNC Park.
