  • White Sox's Davis Martin: Blanks Atlanta for ninth win

Martin (9-2) earned the win Wednesday against Atlanta, allowing six hits and one walk while striking out six over six scoreless innings.

Martin continued his breakout campaign with another dominant performance, recording his third outing of at least six innings without allowing a run this season. The right-hander had to navigate several early threats, escaping a bases-loaded jam in the second inning before stranding runners on the corners in the third. Martin has now allowed one run or fewer in eight of his last 10 starts and joins Aaron Ashby and Gavin Williams atop the MLB wins leaderboard with nine. He now owns a 2.41 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 79:17 K:BB across 78.1 innings and is scheduled to face the Yankees on the road in his next outing.

  • White Sox's Davis Martin: Hammered for six runs on 10 hits

Martin (8-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Twins, allowing six runs on 10 hits and three walks with two strikeouts across 4.2 innings.

After Martin dazzled against the Twins last week, yielding just one run on two hits with five strikeouts over six innings, Minnesota got the better of the right-hander Tuesday. The 10 hits and six runs allowed were both season highs for Martin, as he generated just eight whiffs on 92 pitches en route to a season-low two strikeouts. With the rough outing, Martin's ERA jumped to 2.61 with a 73:17 K:BB across 72.1 innings this season. He'll try to get back on track next week at home against Atlanta.

  • White Sox's Davis Martin: Pushes record to 8-1

Martin (8-1) earned the win over Minnesota on Thursday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out five batters over six innings.

Martin breezed through four scoreless frames before yielding a run on a walk and a double in the fifth. That was the only tally the Twins were able to put on the board against the right-hander, who picked up his third victory in as many starts. Martin induced 14 whiffs and struck out five batters en route to his fourth quality start across his past five outings. He's come into his own this season and has emerged as an ace for a promising White Sox squad, as he's tied for second in the majors with eight wins while posting a 2.00 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 71:14 K:BB through 67.2 innings. Martin is lined up to make his next start on the road in a rematch with Minnesota.

  • White Sox's Davis Martin: Strikes out seven in win

Martin (7-1) allowed four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven over 5.2 innings to earn the win over the Giants on Friday.

A nine-run fourth inning by the White Sox bought plenty of breathing room for Martin. He used up some of it over the next two frames, but the Giants never made a real threat to erase the deficit. The four runs allowed were a season high, and this was the first time Martin's given up multiple runs since April 10 versus the Royals. He also fell short of a quality start for just the third time in 10 outings. He has a 2.04 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 66:12 K:BB through 61.2 innings in what's been an impressive breakout campaign, albeit with few truly challenging matchups on his game log. Martin's next start is projected to be at home versus the Twins.

  • White Sox's Davis Martin: Logs another quality start

Martin (6-1) earned the win against the Cubs on Saturday, allowing one run on five hits while striking out seven across six innings. He did not issue a walk.

Martin's excellent 2026 campaign continued Saturday, and he set the tone early by retiring the first nine batters he faced. He yielded a home run to Miguel Amaya in the sixth inning before allowing two more baserunners, but Martin got out of the inning by striking out the last two batters of the frame. Martin's six wins and seven quality starts are both tied for most in the American League, while his 1.61 ERA and 0.98 WHIP (across 56 innings) are both third best in the AL. His next start is tentatively slated for next weekend against the Giants in San Francisco.

  • White Sox's Davis Martin: Excellent campaign continues

Martin didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Mariners, allowing one run on three hits and two walks in six innings. He struck out nine.

The 29-year-old right-hander continues deal for the White Sox, having now pitched at five innings while yielding two runs or fewer in seven consecutive starts. Martin also generated an impressive 19 whiffs Sunday, fanning at least seven in his fourth straight outing. He has a stellar 1.62 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 52:10 K:BB over 50 innings, but Martin is set to face one of his toughest tests of 2026 against the Cubs next weekend.

  • White Sox's Davis Martin: Dominates with career-high 10 Ks

Martin (5-1) earned the win over the Angels on Monday, allowing five hits and striking out 10 batters without issuing a walk over seven scoreless innings.

Martin has had a great season so far, and this was his best performance to date. The right-hander not only established a career-best mark with 10 punchouts, he also tied his career high with 19 whiffs (nine of which came on his slider). Martin needed just 85 pitches to get through seven frames, registering his fifth quality start through seven outings. Since yielding three runs over five innings in his season debut against Miami, Martin hasn't surrendered more than two runs in any of his subsequent six starts, and he's gone at least 5.2 frames in each of those appearances. His numbers put him among the top pitchers in MLB so far this season, as he currently ranks third among qualified starters in ERA (1.64) while posting a 1.02 WHIP and 43:8 K:BB along with a 5-1 record through 44 innings.

  • White Sox's Davis Martin: Seven strikeouts in fourth win

Martin (4-1) earned the win Tuesday against the Angels, allowing one run on seven hits and one walk with seven strikeouts across 5.2 innings.

The right-hander continues to dazzle for Chicago, as Martin has posted back-to-back seven-strikeout outings and wraps up his April having allowed just five earned runs across 32 innings to go along with a 27:6 K:BB. His 2.86 FIP suggests Martin's results are legit after he outdueled Jose Soriano on Tuesday. Martin is throwing his fastball less this season and has upped the usage on his sinker, slider and changeup. Martin is scheduled to again face the Angels on the road next week for his next start.

  • White Sox's Davis Martin: Strong start continues Thursday

Martin took a no-decision Thursday against the Diamondbacks, allowing one run on six hits and one walk in 6.1 innings. He struck out seven.

The 29-year-old right-hander continues to be a bright spot for White Sox to begin the 2026 campaign. Martin fanned a season-high seven Thursday, spinning at least six frames while yielding two runs or fewer in his fourth consecutive start. He holds an outstanding 2.01 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB over 31.1 innings thus far, so Martin will be hoping to keep the good times rolling in his next scheduled outing versus the Angels.
