  • Braves' Spencer Strider: Picks up win over Boston

Strider (3-0) picked up the win Tuesday against the Red Sox, allowing three runs on three hits and three walks with five strikeouts across five-plus innings.

Strider gave up back-to-back homers to Jarren Duran and Ceddanne Rafaela on five pitches to lead off the bottom of the first inning, but he was able to settle in after that, allowing just one hit over his last 19 batters faced. A leadoff walk in the sixth came around to score with Didier Fuentes on in relief of Strider. The 27-year-old Strider has now given up three runs in three of his five starts since returning from an oblique injury, but the results have still been strong with a 3.45 ERA and 32:15 K:BB across 26 innings. His fastball velocity remains down some at 95.3 mph, but he still entered Tuesday in the 96th percentile in strikeout rate (32.9 percent) and 97th percentile in whiff rate (36.1 percent).

  • Braves' Spencer Strider: Fans nine in quality start

Strider (2-0) earned the win Thursday against the Marlins, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks in 6.1 innings. He struck out nine.

Strider delivered his longest outing since coming off the injured list in early May while also logging his second quality start of the year. The hard-throwing right-hander induced an impressive 15 whiffs en route to fanning a season-high nine, but he's now walked multiple hitters in all four of his appearances. Strider will carry a strong 3.00 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 27:12 K:BB across 21 innings into his next scheduled start against the Red Sox.

  • Braves' Spencer Strider: Gives up just one run vs. Boston

Strider did not factor into the decision of Atlanta's 3-2 extra-inning win against Boston on Friday. He allowed one run on three hits and three walks while striking out four across 5.1 innings.

Strider kept the Red Sox in check in Friday's start, with his lone blemish coming in the sixth inning, when he gave up an RBI single to Mickey Gasper. Unfortunately for Strider, his Atlanta teammates weren't able to generate enough runs for the right-hander to be in line for the win. Regardless, he has overcome his shaky 2026 debut against the Rockies on May 3 to pitch two consecutive strong starts. Strider is lined up to face the Marlins in Miami next week.

  • Braves' Spencer Strider: Dominant in win over Dodgers

Strider (1-0) allowed one hit and two walks while striking out eight over six scoreless innings to earn the win over the Dodgers on Saturday.

Strider struggled in his season debut in Colorado last Sunday, but he rebounded in his second start Saturday, shutting down a potent lineup. Strider has posted a 14:7 K:BB over 9.1 innings across his first two starts of the year, so it'll be important to see if he can dial in his control after missing the first month-plus of the campaign due to an oblique strain. The right-hander's next start is projected to be a favorable one at home versus the Red Sox.

  • Braves' Spencer Strider: Shaky control in season debut

Strider (oblique) did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on four hits and five walks over 3.1 innings against the Rockies. He struck out six.

Strider made his first start of the season after opening on the injured list with a left oblique strain and struggled to consistently find the zone, throwing 48 of 87 pitches for strikes and issuing five free passes. It wasn't a strong outing for the right-hander, who also allowed a homer to TJ Rumfield in the third inning, but Strider did strike out six and simply being back on a big-league mound is a step in the right direction. After posting a 4.45 ERA and 1.40 WHIP with a 131:51 K:BB across 125.1 regular-season innings (23 starts) in 2025, the 27-year-old is looking to return closer to his form from 2022 and 2023 prior to injuries. Strider is tentatively scheduled to start Saturday against the Dodgers, though how Atlanta manages his workload will be worth monitoring.

  • Braves' Spencer Strider: Activated for 2026 MLB debut

Atlanta reinstated Strider (oblique) from the 15-day injured list to start Sunday's game at Colorado.

The right-hander has missed the first month-plus of the regular season while working his way back from an oblique strain, but he's ready to make his first big-league appearance of the year after a three-start rehab assignment. Strider built up to 82 pitches and five innings during his final rehab outing, so his workload shouldn't be significantly limited in his 2026 debut. In last year's return from internal brace surgery on his elbow, Strider had an up-and-down campaign with a 4.45 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 131:51 K:BB across 125.1 innings.
