Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Throws over weekend
Rogers (illness) has rejoined the Orioles in Miami after doing some throwing at Camden Yards this past weekend, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Rogers landed on the 15-day injured list last Friday due to a nasty illness that sapped him of his strength. He's still regaining some of his energy, but the expectation is that Rogers will be ready to rejoin the Baltimore rotation when first eligible May 11.

Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Expected back when first eligible
Orioles manager Craig Albernaz said Friday that he expects Rogers (illness) to return from the 15-day injured list when first eligible, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Rogers has the flu and spent the previous couple days at home. He will probably be healthy enough to return before his 15 days are up, but the Orioles elected to play it safe and put the southpaw on the IL. Rogers is eligible for activation May 11, and he could slot back into the rotation that day against the Yankees.

Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Lands on injured list
The Orioles placed Rogers on the 15-day injured list Wednesday, retroactive to April 26, due to an illness.
Rogers has been having a rough go of things on the mound lately, posting a 9.53 ERA and 2.12 WHIP over 11.1 innings across his last three starts. He was forced out of his most recent outing Saturday after giving up three earned runs in just 1.2 frames and now seems to be fighting off an illness severe enough to warrant a trip to the injured list. Cameron Foster will come up from the minors in a corresponding move to add depth to Baltimore's bullpen, though it remains unclear who will fill the void in the rotation.

Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Quick hook in Saturday's loss
Rogers (2-3) took the loss Saturday, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks over 1.2 innings as the Orioles were routed 17-1. He struck out two.
A 10-run ninth inning by the visitors made the final score look much worse, but Rogers dug an early hole for the O's when he couldn't escape the second inning. The southpaw got lifted after 62 pitches (38 strikes), and he's now been tagged for 13 runs (12 earned) in 11.1 innings over his last three starts. The rough stretch has left Rogers with a 4.75 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 27:10 K:BB through 30.1 innings on the season, and he'll try to turn things around in his next outing, which is set to come on the road next weekend against the Yankees.

Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Homers twice Sunday
Ramirez went 2-for-4 with two solo home runs in Sunday's 8-4 win over the Orioles.
Ramirez provided the power surge for Cleveland, taking Trevor Rogers deep twice with a pair of solo shots, including one on the first pitch of the fourth inning. The performance continues a strong stretch at the plate, as he's now homered four times over his last nine games while stealing eight bases and posting a 1.413 OPS in that span. The veteran is also closing in on history, sitting at 291 career homers and 297 stolen bases -- putting him on the verge of becoming just the ninth player in MLB history to reach 300 in both categories.

Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Hit hard during loss
Rogers (2-2) took the loss Sunday against the Guardians, allowing six runs (five earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out five over five innings.
Rogers ran into trouble in the middle innings, as four of his six runs came in the fourth, highlighted by a first-pitch homer from Jose Ramirez, who went on to leave the yard again an inning later. The southpaw also contributed to his own issues defensively in the third, missing the bag on a play at first that allowed an unearned run to score later. Sunday marks back-to-back starts in which Rogers has allowed four or more earned runs, a step back after his strong start to the season. The 28-year-old now holds a 4.08 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 25:8 K:BB across 28.2 innings and is scheduled to face Boston in his next outing.

Guardians' George Valera: Idle against southpaw
Valera is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
Though he'll head to the bench against southpaw Trevor Rogers, Valera had been seeing steady playing time against right-handed pitching since being activated from the injured list Monday. He started four of the Guardians' previous five contests, going 4-for-14 with two doubles and two RBI.

Guardians' Kyle Manzardo: On bench against lefty
Manzardo is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.
The left-handed hitter had been in the lineup five straight games while the Guardians faced right-handed starting pitchers, but he'll take a seat Sunday against southpaw Trevor Rogers. Rhys Hoskins will fill in for Manzardo at first base and bat cleanup.

Rogers (2-1) took the loss Tuesday, giving up four runs on nine hits and a walk over 4.2 innings as the Orioles fell 4-3 to the Diamondbacks. He struck out six.

Rogers still sports a 3.04 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 20:6 K:BB through 23.2 innings, and he'll look to bounce back in his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road this weekend in Cleveland.

Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Fans six across six innings
Rogers did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the White Sox, allowing two runs on six hits and striking out six over six innings. He did not issue a walk.
Rogers continued his strong start to the season Tuesday, turning in his third consecutive quality start. The 28-year-old's only damage came in the third inning when he allowed three straight hits, but he kept his composure afterward and stranded runners at the corners in both the fifth and sixth to limit further scoring. The left-hander now owns a 1.89 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 14:5 K:BB across 19 innings of work and will look to keep things rolling in his next scheduled outing against Arizona.

Rogers has delivered back-to-back quality starts to begin the season, posting a 1.38 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 8:5 K:BB through 13 innings. He'll look to extend his win streak in his next start, which lines up to come on the road early next week against the White Sox.

Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Stellar in Opening Day win
Rogers (1-0) earned the win Thursday over the Twins, allowing three hits and four walks across seven scoreless innings. He struck out five.
Rogers picked up where he left off in 2025, when he posted a sparkling 1.81 ERA with a 0.90 WHIP and 103:29 K:BB across 18 starts (109.2 innings). The southpaw needed only 88 pitches to make it through seven scoreless innings Thursday, which is particularly impressive given that he didn't have his best command. Rogers will look to keep rolling his next time out, currently slated for next week at home against the Rangers.
