The Reds aren’t really hitting well right now, and the Pirates are hitting the ball right now, so they should get Keller run support against Brady Singer, who is 0-4 with a 6.32 ERA on the road.

    Analysis

    I went over 4.5 hits in Shane Bieber's season debut and that cashed easily. Today I'm going over Bieber 2.5 earned runs allowed. The former Cy Young winner struggled with a 6.88 ERA in his rehab starts and that carried over to his outing against the Astros, where he gave up nine hits and four runs in just 3.2 innings. Even more alarming is that Bieber has allowed seven home runs in 21 Minor/MLB innings this season. His velocity is down and I don't think all his issues are going to get fixed after only one start. I'll take over 2.5 earned runs at plus money for a Half Unit.

    Analysis

    Fourteen straight games between Texas and Toronto in Toronto have went over the total. That may end today, but Shane Bieber I expect to have that one troubling inning. He is coming off his first start of the season, in which he gave up nine hits and three home runs to the Houston Astros. Look for veteran bat Corey Seager to take advantage as he has two home runs over his last three games.

    Analysis

    Look at the straddle in the Arizona-Tampa Bay game Sunday that has a price of -184 on the Rays at home, and the run line is +125. There's actually value in taking the favorite on the run-line in this spot. Tampa Bay has covered the run line the last two nights against Arizona, and they've won the last four meetings against the Diamondbacks and nine of their last 10. Now we have one of the most consistent starters in the league with Drew Rasmussen, against Merrill Kelly, who the Diamondbacks have lost his last five starts with him posting a 6.51 ERA. Junior Caminaro has hit five home runs in his last three games for Tampa. Rays to win.

    Hunter Brown did not have good command last time out, but I like him to bounce back Sunday against the host Tigers. Detroit’s Jack Flaherty comes off the injured list; his velocity is down and his advanced metrics are concerning. Look for Houston to take the rubber game and send the Tigers to their fifth loss in six games.
