Rashid Shaheed SEA WR
Seahawks' Rashid Shaheed: Bigger role in 2026?
9h agoShaheed had a "major spring" in offseason programs and could have a larger role in the Seahawks' offense under coordinator Brian Fleury, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports
Fowler notes that the Seahawks' offense will utilize more motions and shifts under Fleury's scheme and that Shaheed should see more short-to-medium throws from Sam Darnold as a result. Shaheed and Darnold demonstrated a strong connection during spring practices, and it appears the former is in line for a larger role in the offense, perhaps leapfrogging Cooper Kupp as the team's WR2 behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

DJ Giddens IND RB
Colts' DJ Giddens: Competing for backup role
13h agoAfter a quiet rookie season, Giddens will compete against Seth McGowan for the backup running back role behind Jonathan Taylor for the 2026 season, Paul Pretl of USA Today reports.
Giddens was a fifth-round selection of the Colts in the 2025 NFL Draft. He finished his rookie year with 26 carries for 96 yards across nine regular-season games, though 20 of those touches came in Weeks 1 and 18. Per Bretl, Colts head coach Shane Steichen told reporters in early June that Giddens' growth and knowledge of the team's offensive scheme puts the latter ahead of McGowan for the RB2 job heading into training camp.

Tre Tucker LV WR
Raiders' Tre Tucker: Remains key cog in WR corps
14h agoAs his fourth season as a pro approaches, Tucker is set to reprise his key role in a Raiders WR corps that also includes free-agent addition Jalen Nailor, 2025 draftees Jack Bech and Dont'e Thornton as well as rookie sixth-round rookie Malik Benson, Levi Edwards of the team's official site reports.
Per Edwards, there's also been speculation that Las Vegas will consider adding a veteran free agent in the coming weeks, but as things stand, Tucker, who caught 57 passes (on 92 targets) for 696 yards and five TDs in 17 regular-season games in 2025, is in line to serve as a key target for QBs Kirk Cousins and Fernando Mendoza. In that context, the 2023 third-rounder should continue to see enough volume to merit lineup consideration in deeper formats, while his fantasy upside in 2026 is linked to the possibility of improvements in the Raiders' passing game, with both a new head coach (Klint Kubiak ) and a new starting signal caller on board.

DJ Moore BUF WR
Bills' DJ Moore: Settling in as Allen's top target
1d agoQuarterback Josh Allen said in late June that Moore has been "a pretty seamless fit" and is "going to be a huge help" for Buffalo's offense in 2026, Nick Shook of NFL.com reports.
Moore was acquired by the Bills from Chicago in March for a second-round pick, and the 29-year-old veteran steps into a new wide receiver room alongside Khalil Shakir to provide Allen a true proven No. 1 receiver for the first time since Stefon Diggs' departure back in 2024. Catching passes from one of the NFL's premier quarterbacks will aid Moore as he looks to bounce back from a down 2025 season with the Bears, in which he totaled a career-worst 50-682-6 receiving line despite suiting up for all 17 regular-season games. Moore faces less competition for targets in Buffalo, as behind Shakir and tight end Dalton Kincaid, the likes of Joshua Palmer, Keon Coleman and Skyler Bell fill out the team's receiver corps. If Moore can demonstrate that he hasn't lost a step at age 29, he'll be in position to bounce back in 2026 even if his best days are behind him.

Malik Benson LV WR
Raiders' Malik Benson: Impressing early
1d agoBenson turned heads during the Raiders' mandatory minicamp, Levi Edwards of the team's official site reports.
Edwards identified Benson as one of the biggest standouts of the Raiders' offseason program, noting that the rookie connected with multiple quarterbacks on deep passes during practices open to the media. The sixth-round pick enters training camp in what Ryan McFadden of ESPN reports to be an open competition at wide receiver, and his speed and ability to stretch the field could help him carve out a role if he builds on that momentum. Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor, Jack Bech and Dont'e Thornton represent Benson's main competition for snaps.
-
Ricky Pearsall SF WR
49ers' Ricky Pearsall: Poised to start opposite Evans
1d agoPearsall is expected to enter training camp as San Francisco's starting wide receiver opposite Mike Evans, Kyle Madson of USA Today reports.
Pearsall is positioned for a significant role after injuries limited him to nine regular-season appearances in 2025. With Jauan Jennings having signed with the Vikings and Brandon Aiyuk seemingly out of the picture, the 25-year-old clearly projects as Brock Purdy's No. 2 wide receiver behind Evans. Christian Kirk is expected to handle slot duties, while rookie second-round pick De'Zhaun Stribling and Demarcus Robinson provide depth, but it's Pearsall and Evans who project to see the field in 21 personnel sets, which the 49ers deployed at a league-high rate in 2025. A healthy season would position Pearsall for the biggest workload of his NFL career.

Jose Caballero NYY SS
Yankees' Jose Caballero: Snags steal in loss
2m agoCaballero went 1-for-4 with a stolen base a run scored in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Red Sox.
Caballero has collected four steals on five attempts over his last nine games despite batting a meager .167 (5-for-30) in that span. The infielder is hitting .252 with a .708 OPS, 19 steals, eight home runs, 28 RBI, 32 runs scored and 10 doubles over 71 contests this season. Caballero is seeing steady time in a utility role this month, though it helps that the Yankees have faced left-handed starting pitchers in five of their last seven games.
-
Carlos Rodon NYY SP
Yankees' Carlos Rodon: Walks four in no-decision
4m agoRodon allowed two unearned runs on one hit and four walks while striking out six over five innings in a no-decision Sunday versus the Red Sox.
Rodon didn't have the best control, though it was Oswaldo Cabrera's fielding error in the fourth inning that allowed the Red Sox to scrape together a pair of runs. Rodon has mostly been steady throughout the season, allowing no more than three runs in any of his nine starts. He's posted a 3.30 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 52:26 K:BB across 46.1 innings. The veteran southpaw is projected to make his next start at home versus the Twins.
-
Yoendrys Gomez MIN RP
Twins' Yoendrys Gomez: Records eighth save
5m agoGomez picked up the save Sunday against the Rockies. He pitched a perfect inning without recording a strikeout.
Following an Anthony Banda hit-by-pitch to open the ninth inning, Gomez entered and retired the side without any trouble to secure his eighth save of the season. The right-hander has been stellar of late, not allowing a hit across 6.1 scoreless innings over his past six outings while recording three saves during that stretch. The 26-year-old has been great since joining the Twins on May 6, posting a 1.25 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 22:8 K:BB with seven saves across 21.2 innings for Minnesota while emerging as the club's top option in the ninth inning.
-
Caleb Durbin BOS 3B
Red Sox's Caleb Durbin: Swipes two bags in win
7m agoDurbin went 1-for-4 with two RBI, two stolen bases and one run scored in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Yankees.
Durbin opened the scoring with a two-run single in the fourth inning. He has gone 17-for-39 (.436) over his last 11 games, a span that includes three home runs, eight RBI and four steals. The third baseman is now batting .230 with a .664 OPS, six homers, nine steals, 34 RBI, 30 runs scored, 17 doubles and a triple over 75 contests this season.
-
Griffin Canning SD SP
Padres' Griffin Canning: Starting Monday
9m agoCanning will draw the start on the mound in Monday's contest against the Cubs, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
Canning will operate as a traditional starter in the series opener versus Chicago after following an opener in each of his last two appearances. The right-hander has given up 12 runs on 14 hits and nine walks while striking out 10 batters and hitting another over 10 innings in his last three outings, and he'll be squaring off with a Cubs squad that has won six of their last seven contests.
-
Aroldis Chapman BOS RP
Red Sox's Aroldis Chapman: Takes second blown save
9m agoChapman allowed two runs (one earned) on a hit and a walk while striking out two over one inning to take a blown save in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Yankees.
Chapman continued a rough patch of performances. He's now allowed six runs (five earned) over his last five innings, a span that includes both of his blown saves and two of his three losses this season. He was able to avoid the loss Sunday, as the Red Sox went on to win in 10 innings. Despite the recent hiccups, Chapman still has a 2.19 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 32:12 K:BB across 24.2 innings while converting 16 of 18 save chances this season. He doesn't appear to be at risk of losing the closing job yet, though he has pitched three of the last four days and may be due a rest day soon.

Buddy Hield ATL SF
Hawks' Buddy Hield: Has salary fully guaranteed
2h agoHield had his $9.66 million salary for the 2026-27 season fully guaranteed by the Hawks on Sunday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Hield began the 2025-26 campaign in Golden State before being traded to Atlanta ahead of the deadline. In seven regular-season games with the Hawks, he averaged a career-low 5.1 points, 1.1 rebounds and 0.7 assists across 7.3 minutes while shooting 41.2 percent from deep. It's unknown what the future holds for Hield, but he will remain in Atlanta for now. However, there is always a chance other teams in need of a reliable shooter will come calling at some point moving ahead.

Ziaire Williams BKN SF
Ziaire Williams: Becomes free agent
6h agoThe Nets declined their $6.25 million team option on Williams' (foot) contract Sunday, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
While Williams could still re-sign with Brooklyn, he's set to enter unrestricted free agency after spending the past two seasons with the Nets. The 24-year-old wing missed the team's final five games in 2025-26 with a left foot issue, though he should be ready for training camp. Over 56 regular-season games (13 starts) last season, he averaged a career-high 10.2 points along with 2.4 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.1 assists in 22.9 minutes per showing.
-
Royce O'Neale PHO PF
Hornets' Royce O'Neale: Traded to Charlotte
9h agoThe Suns traded O'Neale, Grayson Allen and a 2033 first-round pick to the Hornets on Sunday in exchange for Miles Bridges, a 2029 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
O'Neale will serve as a veteran presence in the Hornets' locker room, and he'll help back up Naz Reid. O'Neale averaged 9.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.7 triples and 1.1 steals in 28.4 minutes per game in Phoenix last season, but it will be tough to replicate those numbers operating in a reserve role in Charlotte.
-
Grayson Allen PHO SG
Hornets' Grayson Allen: Traded to Charlotte
9h agoThe Suns traded Allen, Royce O'Neale and a 2033 first-round pick to the Hornets on Sunday in exchange for Miles Bridges, a 2029 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
After spending the past three years in Phoenix, Allen will join a retooling Charlotte squad that has now traded away LaMelo Ball and Bridges this offseason. Allen is coming off arguably the best year of his career, averaging 16.5 points, 3.8 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 28.8 minutes per game across 51 outings (27 starts). However, he shot just 40.3 percent from the field and 34.9 percent from deep, a significant dip from the 2024-25 campaign. He figures to play a significant role off the bench for Charlotte and will likely compete for minutes with Sion James and Tre Mann.
-
Miles Bridges CHA PF
Suns' Miles Bridges: Headed to Phoenix
9h agoThe Hornets traded Bridges, a 2029 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick to the Suns on Sunday in exchange for Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale and a 2033 first-round pick, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Bridges should continue to start in Phoenix, but his usage will likely dip, as he'll be competing for touches with the likes of Devin Booker, Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks. Bridges supplied averages of 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.9 triples per game this past season with the Hornets, but his offensive role might shrink some with the Suns.
-
Vladislav Goldin MIA C
Heat's Vladislav Goldin: Extended two-way QO by Miami
1d agoThe Heat extended a two-way qualifying offer to Goldin on Saturday, according to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald.
Goldin is now guaranteed a two-way contract salary from Miami this season, although he could still accept a standard deal from another team. Goldin logged a total of 24 minutes for the Heat last season, compiling seven points, nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
-
Michael Kesselring SJ D
Sharks' Michael Kesselring: Pens three-year deal
2h agoKesselring signed a three-year, $13.5 million contract with the Sharks on Sunday, according to PuckPedia.
Kesselring played in only 34 regular-season games with Buffalo in 2025-26, in part due to injuries, but he fell out of favor with the coaching staff even when he was healthy later in the year. The 26-year-old was acquired from the Sabres on June 17 and should be much more of a factor with the Sharks, who have been in need of a right-shot defenseman. However, San Jose selected two right-shot blueliners in the first round of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, so Kesselring probably won't be in the team's plans after his new deal expires. Kesselring's three-year deal also doesn't include any trade protection.
-
Jack Drury NSH C
Predators' Jack Drury: Inks five-year contract
6h agoDrury signed a five-year, $22.5 million contract with Nashville on Sunday, PuckPedia reports.
Drury generated 10 goals, 27 points, 99 shots on net, 56 blocked shots and 46 hits in 82 regular-season games for Colorado in 2025-26. The Predators acquired Drury, Chase Bradley and a 2029 third-round pick from the Avalanche on Wednesday in exchange for Fedor Svechkov and Zachary L'Heureux.
-
Kyle Masters CAR D
Ducks' Kyle Masters: Dealt at 2026 NHL Draft
1d agoAnaheim acquired Masters and the No. 192 pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft from Carolina on Saturday in exchange for the rights to John Carlson.
Masters had three assists in 10 regular-season appearances for ECHL Wichita in 2025-26. The 23-year-old is eligible for restricted free agency this summer. The Ducks selected Noah Kosick with the No. 192 selection to close out the sixth round of the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.
-
Fabian Lysell BOS RW
Avalanche's Fabian Lysell: Gets change of scenery
1d agoLysell was acquired by Colorado from Boston on Saturday in exchange for Ivan Ivan.
Lysell had 17 goals, 42 points and 51 PIM in 57 regular-season outings with AHL Providence in 2025-26. Despite being the No. 21 overall pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, Lysell has appeared in just 12 career regular-season NHL games. Perhaps a fresh start with a new organization will benefit the 23-year-old.
-
John Carlson CAR D
Hurricanes' John Carlson: Rights acquired in trade
1d agoCarolina acquired Carlson from Anaheim on Saturday in exchange for Kyle Masters and pick No. 192 in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.
Carlson is eligible for unrestricted free agency Wednesday, which doesn't give the Hurricanes much of an exclusive negotiating window. He compiled 14 goals and 60 points in 71 regular-season games between Anaheim and Washington in 2025-26. He also earned six assists in 12 outings for the Ducks during the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
-
Ivan Ivan COL C
Bruins' Ivan Ivan: Traded Saturday
1d agoIvan was acquired by Boston from Colorado on Saturday in exchange for Fabian Lysell.
Ivan had an assist in nine regular-season appearances with the Avalanche in 2025-26. While he didn't play much at the top level in 2025-26, he got plenty of work with AHL Colorado, recording 11 goals, 26 points and 40 PIM in 66 regular-season games before contributing three goals and 15 points in 17 playoff appearances. The 23-year-old is likely to start the upcoming campaign in the minors.
