South American powers meet Saturday in the quarterfinals of Copa America 2024 when Brazil take on Uruguay. The Brazilians were shaky at times in group play, settling for a draw against both Colombia and Costa Rica and defeating Paraguay on their way to a second-place finish in Group D. Uruguay enter this matchup in tremendous form after sweeping through Group C and picking up the maximum of nine points. Brazil will be without Vinícius Júnior, who received his second yellow card in the group stage.

Kickoff is set for 9 p.m. ET at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Brazil are +165 favorites (risk $100 to win $165) in the latest Uruguay vs. Brazil odds, while Uruguay are +210 underdogs on the 90-minute money line. A 90-minute draw is priced at +175 and the over/under for total goals scored is 1.5. Brazil are -118 favorites to advance, while Uruguay are -110. Why Brazil can win

Junior's absence looms large, but the Brazilians are expected to turn to 17-year-old phenom Endrick in his place. After scoring 11 goals for Palmeiras last season, he's headed to Real Madrid later this month. He's also scored three goals for Brazil in recent international friendlies, including the only goal in a 1-0 win over England at Wembley Stadium in March.

Additionally, Maxi Araujo is questionable for Uruguay after leaving the game against USA on a stretcher. The 24-year-old was tied for a team-high two goals in the three group-stage matches. See which team to pick here.

Why Uruguay can win

This group had a tournament-high seven players score a goal in the group stage. Their goal differential of +8 was by far the best in group play as well, with no other squad topping five.

With Araujo's status in doubt, midfielder Federico Valverde is one of the top options. Valverde is able to thread the needle as a passer while owning the ability to score on his own. In the 2023-24 season with Real Madrid, he had two goals and seven assists. An underrated factor of Uruguay's success thus far is their defense. They have limited their opponents to 22 shots which are the second fewest in the group stage. Uruguay also allowed 1.1 expected goals, which were the fewest. See which team to pick here.
