Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Returns to practice Monday
Waddle (leg) took part in Monday's practice, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.
Waddle exited practice on Wednesday, Aug. 5 due to muscle tightness in his leg and didn't mix back into drills before sitting out Friday's preseason game in Atlanta. Monday's appearance for the biggest newcomer to the Broncos offense this offseason is welcome news for QB Bo Nix and company, but it's unclear how much work Waddle was able to handle. Waddle's next chance for exhibition action if Fridays versus the Packers.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Not suited up Friday
Waddle (leg) isn't slated to play in Friday's preseason contest in Atlanta, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.
Waddle initially exited an Aug. 5 practice session early due to muscle tightness, and while he got rid of the sleeve on his left leg this past Saturday, he has yet to mix back into drills in the meantime. As a result, his first taste of game action as a Bronco will have to wait until at least next Friday against the Packers. Once Waddle is healthy, he's set to form a top WR duo in Denver with Courtland Sutton for QB Bo Nix.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Still not practicing
Waddle, who has been dealing with muscle tightness, didn't participate in practice Tuesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Waddle was present for Tuesday's session but didn't work into team drills. The former Dolphin remains day-to-day ahead of Friday's preseason opener against the Falcons, but given that he hasn't practiced since last Wednesday, it's increasingly likely he'll be sidelined for that contest.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Misses another practice
Waddle, who left this past Wednesday's practice with muscle tightness, didn't practice Monday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.
That's not surprising given that coach Sean Payton said Thursday of Waddle that he thought the wideout would be back in "the next 4-to-5 days," per Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site. With that in mind, consider Waddle day-to-day ahead of Friday's preseason opener against the Falcons.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Sheds leg sleeve
Waddle worked on the side at Saturday's training camp practice and was not wearing a sleeve on his leg, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Waddle was sporting a sleeve on his left earlier in the week, and he looked to be running more easily since leaving Wednesday's practice due what was reported at the time as "some muscle tightness," per Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post. There doesn't appear to be any long-term injury concern for Waddle, though he'll continue to have his practice reps limited and could see minimal action in exhibition games, with the Broncos' preseason opener taking place Friday against the Falcons. Marvin Mims (undisclosed) is also sidelined for Saturday's practice, so Troy Franklin, Pat Bryant and Lil'Jordan Humphrey are slated for more work with the first-team offense alongside Courtland Sutton.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Should be back in 4-5 days
Coach Sean Payton noted Thursday of Waddle, who left Wednesday's practice with muscle tightness, "I think we'll see him back in the next 4-5 days," Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Per Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post, Payton said that Waddle is dealing with a "strain," though it's unclear which muscle is affected. According to Zac Stevens of DNVRSports and Luca Evans of The Denver Post, Waddle -- who did extended rehab/side-field work Thursday -- was spotted with a limp in the process, but based on Payton's comments, the wideout isn't expected to miss extended time ahead of Denver's Aug. 14 preseason opener.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Present for practice without helmet
Waddle, who left Wednesday's practice with muscle tightness, is present for Thursday's session but appears to be an observer, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.
Per Chris Tomasson of The Denver Gazette, while the wideout was spotted during the initial portion of practice Thursday, he wasn't wearing his helmet, then subsequently worked on a side field. Still, Waddle's presence, in any capacity, suggests that Wednesday's muscle tightness isn't a concerning issue and that he should be considered day-to-day for now.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Bothered by muscle tightness
Waddle left Wednesday's practice early due to "some muscle tightness," Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.
Broncos coach Sean Payton said he expects Waddle to be fine. The wideout walked off the practice field earlier Wednesday, going back to the locker room without the assistance of a trainer. Waddle has often been banged up throughout this NFL career, but he's never missed time with a hamstring or groin injury -- the most common area of concern for muscular injuries with WRs.

Broncos' Jaylen Waddle: Exits practice Wednesday
Waddle (undisclosed) exited Wednesday's practice, Luca Evans of The Denver Post reports.
Per Evans, Waddle headed to the locker room during the session and didn't return to the field for the initial stages of team drills. The reason for his departure is unclear, but added context regarding the wideout's status should arrive soon.
