Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Belts homer in loss
Duran went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Monday's 13-6 loss to the Twins.
The Red Sox were already down 11-1 in the third inning when Duran popped his first home run of the season. He's hit safely and driven in runs in three consecutive games, going 4-for-14 with a double, a home run and six RBI. For the season, Duran is slashing .196/.293/.314 over 13 contests.

Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Three-run double in win Sunday
Duran went 1-for-4 with a three-run double, one walk and two runs scored in Sunday's 9-3 win over the Cardinals.
With one out and the bases loaded in the top of the fourth inning, Duran plugged the gap in left-center with a bases-clearing, three-run double to give Boston a 6-1 lead. He later scored on a single by Willson Contreras. Like a number of Red Sox hitters, Duran has struggled early in the 2026 season. He's now slashing .196/.302/.261 with three doubles, eight RBI, nine runs scored, two stolen bases and a 6:14 BB:K across 53 trips to the plate. He has just two multi-hit games this season.

Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Idle against southpaw
Duran is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Brewers.
Duran will sit for the third time this season but for the first time against a lefty (Shane Drohan), after he had previously been included in the lineup in the Red Sox's lone other matchup versus a southpaw (Cincinnati's Andrew Abbott) back on Opening Day. With Duran on the bench, the Red Sox will use Roman Anthony in left field, while Trevor Story gets a day off from playing shortstop but stays in the lineup at designated hitter.

Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Exiting lineup Monday
Duran is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Brewers, Tim Healey of The Boston Globe reports.
He'll take a seat for the second time in the Red Sox's first 10 games of the season as manager Alex Cora makes room in the lineup for Masataka Yoshida, who will serve as Boston's designated hitter in the series opener. Duran is one of multiple Boston hitters who has yet to get going at the dish amid the team's 2-7 start to the season; he's mustered a .200/.314/.267 slash line with zero home runs and two stolen bases over his 35 plate appearances.

Duran is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Duran went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a stolen base Opening Day but is hitless across the past three games, though he has still worked four walks during the latter stretch. Masataka Yoshida will receive a start at designated hitter and bat third versus Houston ace Hunter Brown.

Duran has reached base four times through the first two games of the season and stolen a base in each contest. He's off to a quick start and looking to record a fourth consecutive season with 20-plus steals; Duran's stolen 82 bags (97 attempts) over the previous three seasons. He's served as a DH thus far, as Boston manager Alex Cora looks to find playing time for five outfielders.

Red Sox's Jarren Duran: Heads to WBC on roll
Duran went 2-for-2 with a walk, two home runs, four RBI and a third run scored in Saturday's Grapefruit League game against the Twins.
No Red Sox batter is hotter than Duran, who was the subject of trade rumors all offseason. His two-HR day followed up Friday's homer off Atlanta's Chris Sale. Duran has gone 7-for-12 with three walks, two doubles, three home runs and five RBI over five spring games. His power surge is an encouraging sign for a Boston team looking for offense heading into the regular season. The outfielder will soon depart spring training to participate in the World Baseball Classic for Team Mexico.
