Varsho went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Wednesday's 5-3 win over Tampa Bay.
After the Rays scored twice to take a 3-1 lead in the top of the 10th inning, Varsho came up with the bases loaded with one out in the bottom half of the frame and launched an opposite-field grand slam off a two-strike pitch from Aaron Brooks, sending Toronto home with a win. It's the fifth homer of the year for Varsho, who's gone 7-for-21 (.333) with an .840 OPS in his last five games. Overall, he's slashing .250/.321/.403 with 13 RBI, 19 runs scored and three steals across 159 plate appearances this season.

Varsho is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Rays.
The left-handed-hitting Varsho will get a day off as the Rays send southpaw Shane McClanahan to the bump. Myles Straw will patrol center field for the Blue Jays, while Yohendrick Pinango will grab a start in right field.
Varsho went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Twins.
The center fielder took Bailey Ober deep in the fourth inning, but it was all the offense Toronto could manage on the night. Varsho snapped a 12-game homer drought with the blast, and on the season he's slashing .235/.312/.408 with four long balls, two steals, eight RBI and 12 runs in 29 contests.
Varsho is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.
The left-handed-hitting Varsho doesn't always sit against left-handed pitching, but he'll hit the bench for the series opener while the Red Sox send southpaw Ranger Suarez to the bump. Myles Straw will fill in for Varsho in center field and will bat leadoff.

Varsho missed the Blue Jays' last two games due to left knee soreness that cropped up during Friday's game against the Diamondbacks, but he has recovered enough to be in the lineup for Monday's series opener. Varsho exited Friday's game versus the Diamondbacks and didn't play Saturday or Sunday because of left knee discomfort. However, he was feeling significantly better by Sunday and is on track to return to action for Monday's series opener. Varsho is sporting a .262/.333/.462 batting line with three home runs and one stolen base in his first 19 contests this season.

Manager John Schneider said that Varsho reported discomfort in his lower quad before the game, so Schneider took him out of Friday's contest as a precaution. The 29-year-old outfielder hasn't gone in for imaging, which suggests that the team doesn't believe he's dealing with anything serious. If he sits out another game as a precaution, Myles Straw is likely to benefit from an extra start in center field.

Varsho struck out during his lone at-bat before being replaced in center field in the third inning.
