Marlins' Max Meyer: Remains unbeaten in 2026
Meyer (9-0) earned the win Friday against the Cardinals, allowing two hits and two walks over seven scoreless innings. He struck out five.
The right-hander spent the week on the bereavement list but returned to the active roster Friday without missing a turn through the rotation, picking up his third consecutive victory and tying a franchise record with his ninth straight winning decision. Marlins' Max Meyer: Heads to bereavement list
The Marlins placed Meyer on the bereavement list Monday.
Miami recalled reliever Zach Brzykcy to serve as a temporary replacement on the active roster for Meyer, who will remain away from the team from 3-to-7 days while he tends to a personal matter. Since Meyer last pitched Saturday and wasn't scheduled to pitch during the Marlins' three-game series versus Texas to begin the week, he could be ready to rejoin the club when his next turn through the rotation comes up Friday in St. Louis.

Marlins' Max Meyer: Delivers gem in fifth win
Meyer (5-0) earned the win Saturday against the Mets, allowing no runs on one hit and three walks in seven innings. He struck out eight.
The 27-year-old right-hander was brilliant on the hill Saturday, permitting a lone innocuous single to Mark Vientos in the second inning. It was already the second time this year that Meyer spun seven frames of one-hit ball, and he fanned at least seven for the fourth time in his past seven outings. Meyer is scheduled to face the Mets again next weekend in Queens, where he'll look to remain unbeaten on the year and build on an impressive 2.52 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 68:22 K:BB over 60.2 innings.

Meyer (3-0) earned the win Wednesday against the Twins, allowing four runs on seven hits and two walks in 5.2 innings. He struck out nine.

The 27-year-old right-hander permitted a season-worst four runs and walked multiple batters for the seventh time in nine starts, but the nine punchouts were also a season high. Marlins' Max Meyer: Finishes five frames in no-decision
Meyer allowed two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five batters over five innings in a no-decision against Baltimore on Thursday.
Meyer wasn't as good as in his one-hit, seven-strikeout performance over seven scoreless innings against Philadelphia in his previous start, but he still kept Miami firmly in the game with just two runs on his ledger. The righty hurler also once again avoided the long ball -- he hasn't surrendered a homer in any of his past five outings. That's been a massive improvement for Meyer this season, as his HR/9 currently stands at 0.4 after it was 2.0 across his first three big-league seasons. He may be in the midst of a breakout campaign, as he's posting strong numbers with a 2.79 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 45:15 K:BB through 42 innings spanning eight starts.
