    Hazelton was waived by the Texans on Tuesday, Adam Wexler of SportsTalk790 reports.

    Hazelton spent most of his 2021 rookie season on and off Houston's practice squad before signing a reserve/future contract with the team in January. The undrafted wideout out of Missouri was presumably waived to help make room for newly signed cornerback Fabian Moreau on the Texan's 90-man offseason roster. Hazelton will now have a chance to get picked up off waivers and compete for a roster spot with a new team this offseason.

    Hazelton wasn't drafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, but he still proceeded to sign with the Texans, where he was later waived. The receiver then joined the Packers late in training camp and played in a couple preseason games. However, Green Bay's crowded receiving corps forced Hazelton out of a job. The rookie figures to try to make another team's roster or practice squad before the start of the season.

In 2020, he joined Missouri as a graduate transfer and started four of nine games.
